When it's been refurbished and re-opens, will it stioll be called Martine's or something different?

I could find out the answer as it's a mate of a mate who's bought it, but that's too easy.

I hope he's got a lot of cash as that place needs one hell of a serious refit to get it up together in order to comply with the DDA.

Heard that they haven't applied for a liscence or contacted the police regarding their 're-opening'!

Seems like they soured their relationships before even being asked to open.

It's not even refurbished yet!

Besides, don't you need a name of the premises in order to apply for a premises licence? I would have thought it was a prerequisite to be fair....

Oh, and why would you contact the police? It's the licencing authority who grant / or not / the licence, who will liase with the police....

I was one of the original Dj's right back at the beginning - 1981 or 1982 I think.

Merv, Quinny and I got dumped at the first refit - got asked back eventually though.

Good times - memories of Saints players up at the top bar.

It wasn't always the dump many of you remember, Jim Conway ran a great club - I worked for him on the dark side of the county too.

Cheers

The big fat tosser who ran it when I worked there in the 90's ruined it - his name escapes me but his numberplate was his name IIRC.

The good old Echo know more about Eastleigh than the Council do:rolleyes: . Where are these flats which have been built on the site of the old Earth building?

The roof is open to the elements in some places and, apparently, there is about a foot of pigeon guano in some places. If so that's going to be a H&S nightmare to sort!

I don't think a nightclub is really needed in Eastleigh, it will encourage all the out of town window lickers in. That in turn will set the local window lickers up for a spot of slap and laugh.
