O Please please please. If they were to be sold though I could not see them getting so much money! I this going to be a week where we get some things going our way.

PS I am touching wood even when writing this.

I hope they both go through....am sick of the top 4 in the Premiership monopolising everything.

I would love both clubs to be back in the Premiership sticking it to the Man U's, Arsenals and Liverpools.

I think Pompey are going to be Ok and this is all media bull****...its their turn to have the upper hand against us and they have had some amazing transfer fees come in recently Diarra, Defoe and can't believe anyone is willing to pay 20m for a right back especially one who cost 8m 2 seasons ago.

They have the Sky money, Prem money and decent players to sell off to get them out of the poop....but they just may struggle next season if things are not sorted quick enough as we have found out several times recently.

Lets forget about them and just hope and pray ours goes through and its not a false dawn again.

Would love it if ours went through and theirs didn't and they had to sell their 2/3 best players.

That would put them as one of the favourites for relegation. And hopefully if we get bought we can aim for the top 6.

Fook the Premiership, I'd happily stay in the Championship if both of us were in it.

Knowing our luck though, theirs will go through and ours won't.

I hope the dodgy arab disappears and they don't sell anyone, their wage bill will cripple them by October.

I too would like the top four to be threatened, but not by a team supported by people who couldn't respect a minute's silence for Ted.

From Rownhams it may not seem relevant but the abuse is very real further east.

It's even more real when you come across them further afield. There are one or two of them up here, and the abuse when they 'spot a scummer' is quite pathetic.

The worst one, when I was going out with a Yorkshire girl, I drove from here to hers after football training on a friday night, made to her local pub and met another southern sounding bloke there. Yep, a skate. Every time I came within eyeshot of him after that there where his non stop cries of 'CUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUNT!'

Anything to silence that bunch. The plastic ones are even worse too!

has anyone seen the "welcome to Portsmouth, Al Fahiyde" sign on the A3M coming into Portsmouth from Waterlooville way?

Would be brilliant if this doens't happen, and would be even better to see the guy who put the sign up fall while taking it down - due to the tears in his eyes meaning he misses his step.

I still think that the deal will go through, as the PL want money bags owners. I would expect they do not like the odea of Real Madrid having the world star players and so devaluing our league. The only nagging doubt i have about it is , if they are going to be richer than Man City etc why are they about to sell their best player? Surely they keep him and get others in.That bit does not add up IMO

PMSL. Are all these posts (on this and other threads) yet more evidence about how little you all care about Pompey? (as you always tell me is the case). Your desperation for this proposed takeover to fall through is so patently full of jealousy that no Pompey fan could fail to laugh at the lot of you.

Let's get this straight. The Sun say that the deal may (it's always "may" or "could" or "unnamned sources say" isn't it) fall through because Shinawatra "may" be involved. Then, when Shinawatra and Al Fahim both issue statements saying he's not involved they change tack to say the new "fear" is that someone at Man City's brother (his brother for God's sake) is involved in a company that Al Fahim runs called Hydra Properties, a company which he's said from the start of the process has absolutely nothing to do with the takeover.

But you lot clutch at those straws, saying how much you'd love it if it fell through. You poor little mites. Is watching us rake in the cash in the top flight while you struggle on minus 10 points in Div 3 really hurting you that much? I guess it must be. By the way, if it's OK for you to say it, can I just drop into the mix that as your takeover is by no means done and dusted I hope it all falls through and that you either go out of business or get dumped into the Blue Square league. That only seems fair for me to hope given your hopes for Pompey, surely? :D

I never had any doubt you wished for that anyway.
