It would be great for Boro but I cannot see Neville wanting to play in the CCC unless he has a very good friendship with Southgate. His chances with Man Utd are likely to be limited though. It also says Boro are interested in Paul Scholes which I would say is even more ambitous.

Paul scholes is up there with some of the great players,i hate too say it but he is one my favourites ever,excluding SFC ones of course,David Platt and Teddy Sherringham i include in that style of player.

I'm sure i will take some flak for that.

Totally agree, Boro imo will have no hope of signing Scholes i also hear that Stoke are intrested in Scholes as a player-staff role. If Neville did join it would be a loan till January or something similar

Just because he's a Man Utd player doesn't mean he can't be considered a great player or as a favourite player. Leaving aside my Saints bias I'd have to say that Ryan Giggs is also one of the all time greats and such a modest, unassuming player too. In many ways Man U's MLT. Now I might get slaughtered but's it my opinion and I'm entitled to it.
