saint lard Posted 14 June, 2009 Share Posted 14 June, 2009 Ok, i know we are now just a league one side but i am just a tad staggered that once again there appears to be no info/guesswork/rumours in the sunday papers, nor has there for what seems an age. Does this mean.. A) not a soul really gives a toss, not news worthy etc.... B) not one journo or pundit, besides the people involved, actually know anything... They appear not even bothered to make stuff up,for a change. Or is the deal being done the "correct" way and it's so watertight that it has'nt sprung any "leaks". I've just got a feeling there is no actual multi millionaire owner hence the reason nobodys got a clue who it is.If there was/is surely the takeover would have been done by now and i just find it strange the wish to remain anonymous even when the takeovers complete. It does seem odd. Surely nothing is that 'watertight' these days which, as you say, makes it a bit worrying that, possibly, they can't be bothered. Surely not. Let's go for the 'watertight' version! iansums Posted 14 June, 2009 Share Posted 14 June, 2009 Well I am now officially ITK. I've been speaking to a senior manager of a prominent company in Southampton who told me the name of the company owned by our potential new owner. I have subsequently found his name on the web. It is a name mentioned on here in one or two threads but means nothing to me. I have to say browsing the web site I feel quite confortable with this guy should my info be correct. I do feel at bit torn here as apparently from what I've read on this forum he wants to remain anonymous which (I think) is perfectly understandable, at least until the deal has gone through. I think we should at least try and respect this and so sorry but I am not going to name him. However his name IS mentioned earlier in this thread. I know I'm going to be slated from some on here but there you go. Please be assured that if this info is correct (and it did come through a number of people before getting to me) then the company he part owns is pretty big with a turnover of ten's of billions and he is in the Sunday Times rich list. Once again sorry if I come across as a smart-arse ITK'er bit I just don't feel comfortable naming him. Hopefully it won't be long before we are all put out of our misery.
