Leicestersaint Posted 11 June, 2009 Posted 11 June, 2009 Notts are 131 for 5 - better than 122 for 3. Where is Dawson? Carberry had better get some runs.
Hatch Posted 11 June, 2009 Posted 11 June, 2009 I notice Flintoff is playing for Lancs . Hope he comes through OK.
chrisobee Posted 11 June, 2009 Posted 11 June, 2009 Not sure why Dawson is playing though James Vince is in the team. Far as I know his only previous 1st class game was v Loughborough.
bungle Posted 11 June, 2009 Posted 11 June, 2009 155-7 now. Let's hope we have remembered how to bat.
stevegrant Posted 11 June, 2009 Posted 11 June, 2009 Predictable big 8th wicket partnership lets them off the hook...
Leicestersaint Posted 11 June, 2009 Author Posted 11 June, 2009 Am I the only one that thinks Pothas is rather unimaginative in his use of bowlers -why not try Adams or a bit more of Carberry? They are now builidng a reasonable score at 264 for 7. Try something different!
saintwarwick Posted 11 June, 2009 Posted 11 June, 2009 155-7 now. Let's hope we have remembered how to bat. We need to remember how to bowl at tailenders
Berkshire Saint Posted 11 June, 2009 Posted 11 June, 2009 Am I the only one that thinks Pothas is rather unimaginative in his use of bowlers -why not try Adams or a bit more of Carberry? They are now builidng a reasonable score at 264 for 7. Try something different! To be fair he was mixing up the bowling changes quite a bit, bowling the seamers in short spells. Notts earlier score flattered Hampshire quite a bit. Got the wickets through pretty poor batting rather than decent bowling, the wicket looks fairly flat.
Leicestersaint Posted 12 June, 2009 Author Posted 12 June, 2009 119 for 1 in reply - we need another 300 now!
bungle Posted 12 June, 2009 Posted 12 June, 2009 (edited) 162 - 1 now, and Lumb has got in the groove. Edit: What a kiss of death that was! Edited 12 June, 2009 by bungle
Leicestersaint Posted 12 June, 2009 Author Posted 12 June, 2009 199 for 3 with Adams on 102 no - now we want him to make a big ton (or more).
chrisobee Posted 13 June, 2009 Posted 13 June, 2009 This is a real topsy turvy game! Hants after their collapse finished on 295 and Notts are now 45-3, check 47-4 ! 3-14 for Tomlinson.
Leicestersaint Posted 13 June, 2009 Author Posted 13 June, 2009 But now 190 odd for 5 and again lack of imagination in the bowling. How many dropped catches I wonder?
Leicestersaint Posted 13 June, 2009 Author Posted 13 June, 2009 We/re starting to look a weak side in bowling and batting.
Leicestersaint Posted 14 June, 2009 Author Posted 14 June, 2009 Well i am sorry to have to say that i think Hampshire's performance in the last two CC matches has been extremely feeble.
Berkshire Saint Posted 15 June, 2009 Posted 15 June, 2009 Agreed. A bit worried about how we're going to do in the Championship now. Next game is at Liverpool where there will probably be a result unless it rains, need to win that one.
