I dont mean to seem as though they paid nothing, but do wonder tht they paid a reduced amount.

To pay 500k just to have look at the books is hell of a risk even to wealthy people.

its not to look at the books - that was done before the payment.

Think of it as a deposit when exchanging contracts on a house.

Its to allow completion of legal /fa process.

Good post and you are so right !

I would imagine the main cause of impatience is eminating from some posters who have nothing to post about currently ! ;)

But all that will change in due course.

Might I suggest the delay is causing us a wee bit of concern with regard to our plans for the coming season. Or do you think we still have oodles of time in which to put new men in place to run the whole shebang and pick a manager who will then need to acquire some new players pretty darn quick. I for one am concerned.

Looking at it logically, it's hard not to wonder if Pinnacle are quite as meaty as some suggest. No proof, pure conjecture based on the length of time this is all taking and the mixed messages coming out of the deal.

The market for League One clubs can hardly be jumping and pumping with money to burn, more likely Pinnacle are limited in what they are prepared to commit (even if they have a giant bucket of money behind them somewhere) and this whole waiting game is a duel between them and Fry to get as low a price as possible (obvious really), the gravy will be whether they have the steak and onions to plump this pie into promotion crust material. ?

/pointless pie-based conjecture with no basis in fact or reality that will polarise readers :)

1) it is still well within the expected timescale

2) apart from fanzine there have been no mixed messages

Plenty of time for that !

In the meantime it will be BAU with the contracted players reporting back and training under Wotte.

Mr G I dont think you will find that is the case. The deposit was given to allow people to have a proper look at the books, not just ot fence them in.
