New Laptop Time

Hello peeps,

 

Im in search of a new laptop as im off to university in September. Im going to be studying Computer Games Tech (so will specialise in either programming or design). Got a Budget of about £750 (max), its gotta last for 3/4 years I guess, and needs to keep me entertained on boring, skint nights in.. (gotta get used to having no money seeing as ive worked 6 days a week for 2 years..)

Really like the look of HP DV6 Laptops, look solid and reliable, cant find any with intel / nvidia chip sets though (not that it matters, I just dont know the range of ATI gpu's very well..)

 

Oh and this isnt a mac thread, I dont want one, people dont design video games on a mac, or for a mac so dont try ad convince me!!

Or with HDMI and blu-Ray with comparable spec for a bargain price curry's are getting rid of last years HP's, not refurbs as stated, just end of line. Got one of these myself-

Cheers stevo the samsung one looks good, really good spec given the small size, thats more the sort of thing im after because of its stand along GPU. Ill bookmark that one

No specific recommendation from me but most top end ASUS machines have a 24 month warranty as standard.

 

Having used the repair center in Scotland, I can't praise it highly enough. Most unlike my experiences with Acer, which were, well, rubbish.

Thanks evo ive been looking into ASUS notebooks but cant find any that really do what I want for the price, the warranty would be handy though.
