bungle Posted 11 June, 2009 Posted 11 June, 2009 Do they still make these? I was in my local supermarket yesterday and spotted "Curiously Cinnamon - previously called Cinnamon Grahams", but there were no "Golden Grahams" with or without a new name. Are they available anywhere? p.s. If they are in T*sc* then that counts as unavailable.
Guest Dark Sotonic Mills Posted 11 June, 2009 Posted 11 June, 2009 Aren't they now called 'Golden Showers' or am I thinking of something else?
Scudamore Posted 11 June, 2009 Posted 11 June, 2009 Not that this particularly helps but i rediscovered some Kellogg's Start the other week...mmmmm...
Scummer Posted 11 June, 2009 Posted 11 June, 2009 Curiously Cinnamon are on their third name now. They started out as Cinnamon Toast Crunch. They are lovely.

bungle Posted 11 June, 2009 Author Posted 11 June, 2009 Aren't they now called 'Golden Showers' or am I thinking of something else? Presumably no multi-national company is going to be stupid enough to call its product 'Golden Showers' - is it?!
Dicko Posted 11 June, 2009 Posted 11 June, 2009 They have been discontinued in UK You can still buy them in Europe
bungle Posted 11 June, 2009 Author Posted 11 June, 2009 They have been discontinued in UK You can still buy them in Europe That is terrible news if true. They were excellent. Scudamore - 'Start' is also one of my favourites, it was on 2-for-1 not so long ago and I purchased lots.
OldNick Posted 11 June, 2009 Posted 11 June, 2009 you can get them in NY if thats any help, although somebody said the other day there is a shop at the Marlands? that sells imported stuff like that and tey were £10! a box
saint_stevo Posted 11 June, 2009 Posted 11 June, 2009 a shop in bournemouth had lucky charms for sale at £16 a box
Scudamore Posted 11 June, 2009 Posted 11 June, 2009 a shop in bournemouth had lucky charms for sale at £16 a box They'll be lucky to not go out of business very quickly then...
Pip87 Posted 11 June, 2009 Posted 11 June, 2009 Curiously Cinnamon is the new name for Cinnamon Grahams, according to the packet in my kitchen. I don't know if cinnamon grahams was the new name for golden grahams though but it seems very likely. They came in my variety multi packs and I don't like them much. You're welcome to them.

Cinnamon Grahams and Golden Grahams were two seperate products
Pip87 Posted 11 June, 2009 Posted 11 June, 2009 Ah - they have been discontinued. Here is a list of the breakfast cereals they do sell in the UK: http://www.nestle.co.uk/ourbrands/productrange/breakfastcereals/ How sad is that? It's obvious I have too much time off after the exams before working full time for the summer.

Anyone who thinks Golden Grahams had cinnamon in them is clearly not a real Golden Grahams fan.

Pip87 Posted 11 June, 2009 Posted 11 June, 2009 Anyone who thinks Golden Grahams had cinnamon in them is clearly not a real Golden Grahams fan. I'm not. I've never even tried them. I guess I never will now either!
Scudamore Posted 11 June, 2009 Posted 11 June, 2009 I'm not. I've never even tried them. I guess I never will now either! They're honey based...a tasty treat too... I'm pretty sure i don't want cinnamon anywhere near my taste buds first thing in the morning though...
Mao Cap Posted 11 June, 2009 Posted 11 June, 2009 I remember seeing ads for them comparatively recently. Never had them, though. Another cherished but sadly discontinued foodstuff are Lincoln creams http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lincoln_biscuit
Jillyanne Posted 11 June, 2009 Posted 11 June, 2009 Cinnamon (sp) Grahams are sooooooooooooooo over priced imho.
bungle Posted 12 June, 2009 Author Posted 12 June, 2009 12 June 2009 Dear Mr Thank you very much for your email. Unfortunately we had to withdraw Golden Grahams from our range as they were expensive to make and sales were relatively low. It was a difficult decision for us because we are proud of all our products and do not like to disappoint our consumers. We hope you can understand why we took this decision. Thank you once again for taking the trouble to contact us. Yours sincerely Michelle Kirlew Consumer Relations Executive Consumer Services
