Errr you (we've) been had...

The post we have all been waiting for (NOT).....

SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT

Are we all sitting comfortably...some on here already know the ins and outs of this, they are the ITKers..

But for those waiting to celebrate a special day...a very special day!

It's Southampton related

..Arthur Rd., Shirley, in fact, on the 10th June 1944.

Just 4 days after D-Day, I was born

As I said, I've seen the documents, and the actual signatures on it, so it is true, it is my 65th birthday and now we can all celebrate the fact that I am an old age pensioner.

My birth certificate was witnessed by my Aunt, who, fortunately is still with us and she confirmed quite catorgorically that it is my 65th birthday today

I am in retirement offically , as from MIDNIGHT..confirmed by the DWP

thank you all those on facebook for the e-cards and best wishes

But I lost my bet..I couldn't get the Echo to bite, however the Saintsweb did run a thread on my post, and some speculated, as was anticipated. Some of the more sensible ones urged caution.

Some are probably even waiting up to read this..if so...

What i want to know is ' will you still love me now I'm 65?'

sorry no good with links. Its clubfanzine.com/southampton.

Read posts by patred. The info is from someone who was actually there when papers were signed apparently. He says he will reveal all at midnight. I have browsed the sight for about a year now and he seems a very well respected poster and has been right about everything he has posted in the past.

Impossible - only those with real cred post on this messageboard :)

I must say though I dont go on that site much, just for the reason it looks so sh1t!

This looks like a more modern forum, whereas that looks like a 70's porn site!

I thought it was funny! "The best news comes to those who wait, not those desperately searching for it.", Mark Twain, 1861. (just off to update his wikipedia page to include this made-up quote :D )

Happy Birthday old-timer.

Very funny, well done patred!

Now, could a mod PLEASE amend the thread title to help save the planet and stop another 4,976 people reading this thread from start to finish and

1) Using up valuable scarce fossil fuels in running their computers

2) Avoid hitting their own 65th without noticing life went on without them while they were on here!

LMFAO ... mainly because I wasn't amongst the many who stayed up in expectation of something to do with the takeover being announced :D (Mind you had it been set for Thurs midnight I would have been there with the rest of you ;))

Can't get the Beatles tune out of my head now, will have to go and dig it out and give it a play now!!

Enjoy your well earned Bus Pass, spare time, pension and most importantly cheaper SFC Season Ticket ;)

Happy Birthday you old git, crack open a bottle of Sanatogen and pop a few vitamin tablets, clean up the Zimmerframe and crank up the volume on the gramophone and P A R T Y :smt113

Not being funny, but I don't remember the internet in the 70's....

Just read this- can't believe some of you actually took it seriously!!

Someone on a innernet forum to be the person to exclusively reveal everything at midnight?

My thoughts exactly...
