Crab Lungs Posted 9 June, 2009 Posted 9 June, 2009 OK, solid, unspectacular start... my first proper photoshop kit....
southamptonfclegend Posted 9 June, 2009 Posted 9 June, 2009 I like it, looks good except its going to be umbro
forever a red and white Posted 9 June, 2009 Posted 9 June, 2009 like the second away kit but make the shorts yellow. Also, think we should have a 125th anniversary kit or shirt for 3rd kit or away kit if it comes to it
Nolan Posted 9 June, 2009 Posted 9 June, 2009 This years home kit is the same as last seasons no it's not, they changed to a one year cycle starting with last seasons strip from the Echo last year
Crab Lungs Posted 9 June, 2009 Author Posted 9 June, 2009 Wow, Saints foreva... any chance you can sling us the template for that... would love to have a crack at that template!!! Awesome stuff...
krissyboy31 Posted 9 June, 2009 Posted 9 June, 2009 no it's not, they changed to a one year cycle starting with last seasons strip from the Echo last year Yes but scrapped that idea midway through last season.
Saints foreva Posted 9 June, 2009 Posted 9 June, 2009 Wow, Saints foreva... any chance you can sling us the template for that... would love to have a crack at that template!!! Awesome stuff... Sure mate.. http://rapidshare.com/files/210643698/Megapack_V6.rar http://files.filefront.com/Megapack+V6rar/;13486684;/fileinfo.html I think thats it. It's a massive template file and has all sorts of templates from Nike, Umbro etc.
matthieu Posted 9 June, 2009 Posted 9 June, 2009 no it's not, they changed to a one year cycle starting with last seasons strip from the Echo last year So why in the Saints shop in West Quay does it say "This shirt will be worn for the 09/10 season" above the home shirts???
Master Bates Posted 9 June, 2009 Posted 9 June, 2009 Sorry Crab Lungs, I never came, I just don't like the thought of changing the current crest.
Nolan Posted 9 June, 2009 Posted 9 June, 2009 So why in the Saints shop in West Quay does it say "This shirt will be worn for the 09/10 season" above the home shirts??? Your answer is two posts above you... Yes but scrapped that idea midway through last season.
Crab Lungs Posted 9 June, 2009 Author Posted 9 June, 2009 OK, thanks for that Saintsforeva, much appreciated...! Like to think I am getting progressively better, so here's my latest efforts...
Crab Lungs Posted 9 June, 2009 Author Posted 9 June, 2009 Middle one lungs me ol mucka Si, bien... I totally agree! might take away the black down the bottom so then it's almost pure red 'n' white! PS: Got your email, nice one..
saint_stevo Posted 9 June, 2009 Posted 9 June, 2009 Si, bien... I totally agree! might take away the black down the bottom so then it's almost pure red 'n' white! PS: Got your email, nice one.. yeah really like that middle one. good good!
Windmill Arm 2 Posted 9 June, 2009 Posted 9 June, 2009 OK, solid, unspectacular start... my first proper photoshop kit.... Cack! No offence, but I hate hate hate it. I'm quite happy with the one we've got now, its the best shirt we've had for years.
Thorpe-le-Saint Posted 9 June, 2009 Posted 9 June, 2009 Personally, I think the one that started the thread off is the best one.
B Rabbit Posted 9 June, 2009 Posted 9 June, 2009 Nice one Lung....very neat. I had a go myself...before I saw this one. not too disimilar
B Rabbit Posted 9 June, 2009 Posted 9 June, 2009 ....and i did an away one too which i didn't think was quite as successful. Ho-hum.
Badger Posted 9 June, 2009 Posted 9 June, 2009 OK, thanks for that Saintsforeva, much appreciated...! Like to think I am getting progressively better, so here's my latest efforts... A valiant effort, but too much white for my liking. My preference is traditional stripes,or the Keegan era shirt. As a change from tradition though either r/w quarters or halves to coincide with our 125th year.(I know our first shirt was white with a red sash, but this in my view would make a good training or leisure shirt.) As for the away shirt, there are some good designs on an earlier thread, either no60 by krissyboy amber/black halves or a return to the navy/sky keegan era. http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=13121&page=2
scott_saints Posted 10 June, 2009 Posted 10 June, 2009 Aren't we supposed to do this when we're actually due a new kit?
Hatch Posted 10 June, 2009 Posted 10 June, 2009 Don't we just get hand-me-downs now that we are in Division 3.
krissyboy31 Posted 10 June, 2009 Posted 10 June, 2009 Aren't we supposed to do this when we're actually due a new kit? We are due a new kit. Unfortunately not a home one.
Navysaint Posted 10 June, 2009 Posted 10 June, 2009 Didn't some of the other teams have front of shirt, back of shirt and short sponsors last season??
The9 Posted 10 June, 2009 Posted 10 June, 2009 Didn't some of the other teams have front of shirt, back of shirt and short sponsors last season?? I should think most of the teams in the football league do this now, especially in the lower leagues where you're more likely to have a number of local sponsors rather than one national one. We've been quite precious about our shirt sponsors, makes me wonder if the current sponsorship deal requires exclusivity.
The9 Posted 10 June, 2009 Posted 10 June, 2009 I don't really have a problem with people doing fantasy kit designs, but it's a bit pointless when all the Umbro designs for next season are already out there, and we'll be getting one of them for the new away kit. Personally I favour the Birmingham-style broad stripes in the classic Patrick Rank Xerox kit navy/sky colours and style as an away kit, but that's a 2 year old Umbro template now. Having said that Wrexham have just adopted the current red England away kit style for their new change colours, so there's no reason we couldn't have it... New Sunderland away is horrible though, white with black sleeves and yellow trim. Looks vile, and I say this as someone who once ran a team and bought an Umbro change kit in those exact colours...
SFKA South Woodford Posted 10 June, 2009 Posted 10 June, 2009 Please don't have the badge and Umbro symbol in the middle of the shirt, in my opinion it doesn't look good. Badge and symbol should be on opposite sides of the chest. I would love to see a design which is unique to Saints, but unfortunately manufacturers make all designs uniform now, so that's out of the question.

I've just seen the new West Ham Umbro away kit, and if we could something along those lines then I would be happy with that. http://www.whufc.com/page/News/0,,12562~1677827,00.html Could be a bit blue for some though!
Polaroid Saint Posted 10 June, 2009 Posted 10 June, 2009 I love this 'design your own' shirt malarky. Here's the latest version of my favoured 'rising sun' strip. Plus a retro St.Mary's YMA inspired jobbly.
Dannyboy_Saint Posted 10 June, 2009 Posted 10 June, 2009 One on the right could be Japans home shirt.
Badger Posted 10 June, 2009 Posted 10 June, 2009 But their home shirt is blue ..................... Perhaps they just wear it away then.Or for trips to Pearl Harbour.
Colinjb Posted 10 June, 2009 Posted 10 June, 2009 I REALLY would love that to be our home kit. I know I may be on my own there though.
Badger Posted 10 June, 2009 Posted 10 June, 2009 I REALLY would love that to be our home kit. I know I may be on my own there though. No you're not.I've long been a supporter of a return to the quarters for a change.
The Kraken Posted 10 June, 2009 Posted 10 June, 2009 I posted this a while ago, I'd like to see a return to the Rank Xerox kits of old, with this as the away kit.
capitalsaint Posted 10 June, 2009 Posted 10 June, 2009 I REALLY would love that to be our home kit. I know I may be on my own there though. +1
Spades Posted 11 June, 2009 Posted 11 June, 2009 The Farmer had a play.... Im a BIIIIIIG fan of this kit. Without the saints logo on the bottom right though...
