So why in the Saints shop in West Quay does it say "This shirt will be worn for the 09/10 season" above the home shirts???

Your answer is two posts above you...

Yes but scrapped that idea midway through last season.

No offence, but I hate hate hate it.

I'm quite happy with the one we've got now, its the best shirt we've had for years.

A valiant effort, but too much white for my liking.

My preference is traditional stripes,or the Keegan era shirt. As a change from tradition though either r/w quarters or halves to coincide with our 125th year.(I know our first shirt was white with a red sash, but this in my view would make a good training or leisure shirt.)

As for the away shirt, there are some good designs on an earlier thread, either no60 by krissyboy amber/black halves or a return to the navy/sky keegan era.

Didn't some of the other teams have front of shirt, back of shirt and short sponsors last season??

I should think most of the teams in the football league do this now, especially in the lower leagues where you're more likely to have a number of local sponsors rather than one national one.

We've been quite precious about our shirt sponsors, makes me wonder if the current sponsorship deal requires exclusivity.

I don't really have a problem with people doing fantasy kit designs, but it's a bit pointless when all the Umbro designs for next season are already out there, and we'll be getting one of them for the new away kit.

Personally I favour the Birmingham-style broad stripes in the classic Patrick Rank Xerox kit navy/sky colours and style as an away kit, but that's a 2 year old Umbro template now. Having said that Wrexham have just adopted the current red England away kit style for their new change colours, so there's no reason we couldn't have it...

New Sunderland away is horrible though, white with black sleeves and yellow trim. Looks vile, and I say this as someone who once ran a team and bought an Umbro change kit in those exact colours...

Please don't have the badge and Umbro symbol in the middle of the shirt, in my opinion it doesn't look good. Badge and symbol should be on opposite sides of the chest.

I would love to see a design which is unique to Saints, but unfortunately manufacturers make all designs uniform now, so that's out of the question.

I've just seen the new West Ham Umbro away kit, and if we could something along those lines then I would be happy with that.

Could be a bit blue for some though! :o

I REALLY would love that to be our home kit. I know I may be on my own there though.

No you're not.I've long been a supporter of a return to the quarters for a change.
