Lets B Avenue Posted 9 June, 2009 Posted 9 June, 2009 I hope we are at home on Boxing Day as I get to wear my Satan hat to a match. Whats a Satan hat, you little devil?
hamster Posted 9 June, 2009 Posted 9 June, 2009 (edited) Whats a Satan hat, you little devil? Barry Horne wore one apparently. Edited 9 June, 2009 by hamster WTF is up with my fingers today?
Iowsaintsfan Posted 9 June, 2009 Posted 9 June, 2009 Carlisle away i really want to make the trip for this whenever it is! We will start with Charlton at home imo
Panda Posted 15 June, 2009 Posted 15 June, 2009 Dorchester at home. Dorchester away would suit me as I might actually get to see a game for once - trouble is, who would I shout for? Oh SAINTS of course! If we are still in League 1 when all this guff ends then I hope I might get to Yeovil when the time comes.
dannysfc Posted 16 June, 2009 Posted 16 June, 2009 Even Though This Is Probably Already Taken I Am Going To Say We Will Get Southend At Home And Will Hopefully Smash Them Like We Did To Get In The Play-Offs!
gaz Posted 16 June, 2009 Posted 16 June, 2009 I've been that depressed so far, I haven't even seen who else is in L1 this season.
SuperMikey Posted 16 June, 2009 Posted 16 June, 2009 Colchester at Home I think, could be a good game to start the season on. They're a good L1 side, usually around the play-off places for most of the season and it'll be a good benchmark for the rest of the season to play them, as the play-offs are hopefully our goal.
Saints foreva Posted 17 June, 2009 Posted 17 June, 2009 When was the last time we won the first game of the season?
brightspark Posted 17 June, 2009 Posted 17 June, 2009 When was the last time we won the first game of the season? Coventry away, think Egil Ostenstad got the winner - not sure which year though! I can't really be expected to know considering i'm 17 years old, and the Ostenstad era was so long ago that its up there with my first substantial memories of the club.
Dr Who? Posted 17 June, 2009 Posted 17 June, 2009 I will go for Brentford away or if the rumours are right this morning then by Friday no take over then Cambridge away would be good in the Blue Square. Talk ****e this morning say we have until friday to complete a takeover or we will be dumped in the Blue Square. With the fixtures coming out today I find this hard to believe.
Master Bates Posted 17 June, 2009 Posted 17 June, 2009 I reckon our first game will be against someone we haven't played in years.
Dr Who? Posted 17 June, 2009 Posted 17 June, 2009 I reckon our first game will be against someone we haven't played in years. Charlton or Norwich it is then!!

Not to mention that the late Tony Kempster's website (RIP Tony) has this little update on the ups and downs of non-League football, indicating all of the knock-on impacts, massively detailed and from May 2009, showing if nothing else that there is ABSOLUTELY NO CHANCE of us being in the BSq Prem this coming season. We will either be in League One or nowhere. http://www.tonykempster.co.uk/maps09-10.htm
Hatch Posted 17 June, 2009 Posted 17 June, 2009 I also predict 6 new threads with the first fixture 'news'
South City Si Posted 17 June, 2009 Posted 17 June, 2009 Want Yeovil away! Summer jaunt to the country. I know for definate that I want Norwich on 31st October, in time for the beer festival!!!
wireframebox Posted 17 June, 2009 Posted 17 June, 2009 Followed by an away visit to Huddersfield and then away to Swindon.

Given the buggeration factor you highlight, if we were to "fold" it would cause even greater issues at the lower end of the "steps", therefore it would make perfect sense for Saints to be accomodated in BSP, shifting all te remaining teams up one place...... otherwise they really would have a problem ****ing teams all around the place (esp after issuing fixtures....) ...having said that, I'm sure it is all academic, as the take-over will be completed by Friday - why spend the money sooner than you have to?
madsent Posted 17 June, 2009 Posted 17 June, 2009 Millwall at home It's a shame. Would rather we played away as it would be good to start the season with some points.
spain saint Posted 17 June, 2009 Posted 17 June, 2009 We have a winner! As I predicted it first on page one! :DWhat Do I Win?
