Master Bates Posted 8 June, 2009 Posted 8 June, 2009 (edited) By that selfish t**t on the Itchen Bridge? Edited 8 June, 2009 by Master Bates
Ponty Posted 8 June, 2009 Posted 8 June, 2009 Affected? Nope, but then it's about 85 miles from me, so it would require one hell of a tailback.
INFLUENCED.COM Posted 8 June, 2009 Posted 8 June, 2009 Someone needs to do what that chinese fella did
Master Bates Posted 8 June, 2009 Author Posted 8 June, 2009 What was said t*t doing? What was?? He/she's still bloody there, been there since about 5pm saying they're gonna jump, it's now almost 7pm, BLOODY WELL FERCKING JUMP THEN YOU ATTENTION SEEKING NUT JOB.
RedArmy Posted 8 June, 2009 Posted 8 June, 2009 If it was the pikey looking mong in the striped top hanging around one of those blue boxes near the top of the bridge at about half 4 then he didn't look like he had any intention of jumping. Can of fosters in his hand, gobbing off to 2 kids walking over. Luckily he didn't affect my journey home.
Kadeem Hardison Posted 8 June, 2009 Posted 8 June, 2009 It was me. I only wanted to have a swim. I'd bought new Speedo's too. Effing busybodies.
BadgerBadger Posted 8 June, 2009 Posted 8 June, 2009 Someone needs to do what that chinese fella did +1.
hamster Posted 8 June, 2009 Posted 8 June, 2009 Jumper talked down Did they make everyone pullover for the jumper?
Weston Super Saint Posted 8 June, 2009 Posted 8 June, 2009 MAybe he's waiting for the tide to come in?
Jillyanne Posted 8 June, 2009 Posted 8 June, 2009 MAybe he's waiting for the tide to come in? Not sure the tide goes out by the bridge?
St Landrew Posted 8 June, 2009 Posted 8 June, 2009 Not sure the tide goes out by the bridge? Yes it does. The Itchen is tidal up to Woodmill.
rocknrollman no2 Posted 8 June, 2009 Posted 8 June, 2009 What normally can take me 20 minutes to get home, took me 2 hours stuck in traffic because of that commotion on the Itchen Bridge. If i had got anywhere near the person threatening to jump,i would have pushed them off myself. Next time can they do it at three in the morning?

Jillyanne Posted 8 June, 2009 Posted 8 June, 2009 Yes it does. The Itchen is tidal up to Woodmill. I have NEVER seen the sand/dirt/whatever under Itchen Bridge, always water! FACT.
saint_stevo Posted 8 June, 2009 Posted 8 June, 2009 I have NEVER seen the sand/dirt/whatever under Itchen Bridge, always water! FACT. Quite often i see water beneath, and i often want to launch my mobile into it, no idea why
Post-it note Posted 8 June, 2009 Posted 8 June, 2009 I have NEVER seen the sand/dirt/whatever under Itchen Bridge, always water! FACT. You really are thick. Theres always water under the bridge but at low tide it is very shallow so anybody jumping will likely die. If they jump at high tide theres a chance they'll get pulled out by lifeboat.
EastleighSoulBoy Posted 8 June, 2009 Posted 8 June, 2009 My nan commited suicide. My grammar's quite poorly.
Dannyboy_Saint Posted 8 June, 2009 Posted 8 June, 2009 Well if he wanted to die then surely he wouldnt want the tide to come in as he wouldn't to get dragged onto a lifeboat and saved.
sotonjoe Posted 8 June, 2009 Posted 8 June, 2009 I hope the person is ok and you all regret your unnecessary venom.
tpbury Posted 8 June, 2009 Posted 8 June, 2009 Did they make everyone pullover for the jumper? Think this is worth a clap-hands smiley.
Master Bates Posted 9 June, 2009 Author Posted 9 June, 2009 I have NEVER seen the sand/dirt/whatever under Itchen Bridge, always water! FACT. I have seen the cr@p a lot of times when the tide goes out, but then I did used to work for Vospers. My nan commited suicide. My mate commited suicide too, yes I miss him but tbf I still think he's a c**t for doing it.

JustMike Posted 9 June, 2009 Posted 9 June, 2009 i was affected by the idiot! I left work early to beat the rush caused by the northam bridge road works only to find the Itchen bridge closed off. It took me an hour to get from the small round a bout by the itchen bridge to the traffic lights by the prince of wales pub. Was quite funny hearing other ****ed off drivers shouting at the OB telling them to push him off and open the bridge.

amsterdam Posted 26 October, 2009 Posted 26 October, 2009 Why are police in Bitterne appealing for witnesses? It's blooming miles away from there, no? And sad as the news is for the poor bugger, I do love journalese - why did he "plunge" from the bridge? Didn't he "fall" or "jump"?

bristolsaint29 Posted 27 October, 2009 Posted 27 October, 2009 Not like the bloke on the M5 end of August then who had a little think about it for 7 hrs whilst they shut all 5 lanes Northbound resulting in a 35 mile tailback and the South West grinding to a standstill.
