Just what is happening at QPR? They are supposed to be the second richest club in the country and yet all thats happened is that their season tickets have gone up by £100 and they've got some nice new screens above each goal. You'd have thought they would have got some big name players and manager by now.

Hopefully they will be an example of cash not being the be all and end all.

We didnt want to become a Chelsea. We have fantastic deals off the pitch which are better than a lot of prem clubs, shirt sponsor went from 25k to £5m, £5m for the kit maker, £1m for Santander and Chronotech. So flav is trying to make the club something than can run long term rather than spending £20m and maybe failing to get to the prem. Weve also got a nice big screen too which is on the away end roof.

Were only 2 players short of a playoff team which unfortunately I doubt we will get. As for Magilton and Gorman, hugely underwhelming but they might surprise us.

A mate of mine is a qpr fan and he says that ecclestone has a long term plan for the club, they want the club to be able to stand on it's own two feet but with financial backup if needed.they want it to be a gradual process and don't want to go down the Chelsea route.

Personally I think they should invest for promotion on a quicker scale and then use the money to sustain premiership longevity.

Even so, the early heady days of waving tenners at the chelsea fans and claiming that QPR were now the richest club in the world must seem a little bittersweet now !

I've heard that QPR's fans' sites are running sweepstakes on how long Magilton will last. What is it -- 7 managers in 18 months? Not exactly 'long run' planning is it?

Can't say I envy you much at the moment, but then who knows what our new owner will be like? At least you know who yours are!

We were where Saints are now 5 years ago, in admin in L1 and it took 3 years to get out of it. In fact, Saints demise is following the exact same route.

Get relegated, almost go up the next season, stay up on last day of following season, get relegated again. If it carries on the same, youll have a mid table finish, playoff final loss and then auto promotion.

As for Magilton, Ive picked later October and no one has him there past Christmas. The fans dont want him and he will have to be in the top 6 all season or it will get ugly.

I thought Ecclestone's plan is to move QPR to the UAE so that he can make even more money.
