OldNick Posted 8 June, 2009 Posted 8 June, 2009 LOL. Why Phil sticks up for that idiot Wacko Jacko I'll never know. My opinion of phil has gone through the floor during this recent takeover saga anyway. If you had paid out what Phil has out of his own pocket and add his precious time to try and help the club, you may well have a different view.
Weston Super Saint Posted 8 June, 2009 Posted 8 June, 2009 If you had paid out what Phil has out of his own pocket and add his precious time to try and help the club, you may well have a different view. LOL. Why did he shell out any money to help Coco the Clown? Did he hibernate during the whole Bournemouth fiasco? And don't say 'to help the club', because inevitably any money given to Jacko was never going to 'help' the club was it!
Crab Lungs Posted 8 June, 2009 Posted 8 June, 2009 LOL, if I was part of a consortium and had made myself a good life and some money through business, I actually wouldn't give two toss****'s what anyone on here thought. I don't want Jackson involved with club but it doesn't mean he's bad at what he does just because his spelling is poor... and at least he's communicative.... but then again, he might be enjoying the attention.

I do hope we never have to rely on any other option than Pinnacle to find out the e3xact truth of MJ's bid. it is unfortunate it has been called the MJ consortium, perhaps if the other names behind it from day 1 were allowed to come out then perhaps it may have been better.None of us will ever know for sure the whole truth about all things that have gone on. One thing is definate both Phil and MJ have put in a darn site more into trying to save the club than most of the people on here.

That is funny, because Phil flat out denied being involved in any bids, apart from telling Fat Marc Jackson to "STFU". http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/forum/showpost.php?p=302151&postcount=17 I am not involved in any bids, I have signed nothing with anyone on anything. It was patently obvious that Phil was spinning this forum in exactly the same way Fat Marc Jackson did, just with a little more finesse and a lot better spelling that Fat Marc Jackson managed. He point blank denied it, which was an obvious lie and that is why I lost a lot of respect for him. He went from being a normal fan to someone who spinned and twisted with the best of all the crazies we have had to suffer before.

I didnt say he was invovled in the consortium, but he did spend time and money (he put that elsewhere on here) helping with the bid and also giving them expert advice through his contacts

There really is no need to get personal I think, sorry. FWIW I support the Fat Matt group, but I'll stick to just 'Matt' or 'MLT'.

Correct, I flat out confirmed that I was not a member of the MJ consortium, had not signed any contracts. I also clearly said that I was helping out. I also at no time spun anything, during the period leading up to exclusivity I pointed out in my posts what was happening from a process point of view. Some people asked specific questions and where they did not involve any possible damage to any bids I answered them. What I did say was that it was NOT MJ. Any idiot can see the history and understand that MJ had no money of his own. What I repeatedly pointed out was that the group was made up of a number of people. Tony Lynams's bid is also made up of a number of people. His money men have also remained in the background. The opinion held on here is valid as it is what the evidence supports. No issue with that either. Some chose to assume that MJ was in fact dreaming and living in a Walter Mitty land. I merely pointed out that their opnion may be valid but that it may also be incorrect. I also offered to sit down with anyone who wanted to ask specific questions, in exactly the same way the guys did after the forum match. There is a difference between expressing informal opinions in a pub versus putting them onto the Internet. Two weeks ago nobody else was at the table, Pinnacle then managed to get back into it, I congratulated them and was the first poster to point out the fantastic amount of stress and strain they must have been under in getting to that point of exclusivity. Almost everyone else just moans why is it taking so long.
Weston Super Saint Posted 8 June, 2009 Posted 8 June, 2009 Tony Lynams's bid is also made up of a number of people. His money men have also remained in the background. TL's bid WAS made of a number of 'moneymen', but according to TL there is now only one left. I'm sure we'll find out who that is sooner or later. MJ's bid consists of a number of 'moneymen', who for one reason or another wish to remain secret for ever and ever - perhaps they never existed in the first place :smt102
