I can assure it is from him,i can honestly say i was pleasantly surprised to recieve a reply,quite polite considering i could be anybody and i was somewhat insinuating he had some knowledge of the rumours origin.

I therfore was quite curtious in my response.

If someone connected with him had started this rumour of course he would deny it. The theory for starting the rumour would be to boost his own chances - which of course it wouldn't anyway. Why start a negative campaign only to later admit to it?

 

I do however believe that he isn't connected to the rumour because if he were to be behind it he is more stupid than his poor spelling suggests.

Actually quite correct though. Most common dyslectic symtoms are 'letter reversal' whilst forming words - not poor grammar.
