Pinnacle on brink of collapse?

Your posts were always some of those I would read when scanning threads, but since the Pinnacle announcement I just don't get where you are coming from.

You seem to have an axe to grind or are having too much fun before posting! No offence.

I'm waiting for the deal to be completed and to renewing my on-line commentary access. I'm extremely relieved that it is all over, and have stated that, and I remain convinced that Lynam will have this all completed by Fruday week within his timelines.

My post earlier is simply that like others I am confused as to where this stupid story comes from.

Obviously everybody has traced it's source to MJ, so there was simply no need to try and speculate. I did put the word IF in my post!

I bow to the collective masses. As it is decided this was obviously MJ then as a fan I should no longer need to be worried about where or who seems to have an axe to grind.

Just simply ask one question. If it ISN'T MJ then who the hell was it?

Wasn't a defence of him. I think it is a pretty damned important question and, to be perfectly honest I would think that Tony would like to know as well!

Can you not give it a rest?

Of course it was MJ, I know it, you know it, everybody else knows it!

Will we ever prove it? I doubt it, maybe it will remain as mysterious as MJ's backers

If it really was MJ, then someone wrote it for him.

It's certainly not his 'style', if you know what I mean.

It is rested. You obviously hacked his phone/computer so I bow to your superior technical knowledge

There is a rush to rubbish this on here, but take a few seconds more.

Personally I believe it is untrue, however as I mentioned before this rumour appears to have originated in the City, NOT locally.

I know nobody cares or believes it but this has not come from MJ. If you don't believe that then you may as well stop reading this now.

The PROBLEM is however that it has come from SOMEWHERE.

And, IF you take it that it is NOT MJ, then WHO ON EARTH would have something to gain by putting this story out there?

If (as I think is the case) everything is fine, then it will not have any effect on Tony & his team and it won't have any effect on Fry & his team.

So where is it aimed at? unsettling the fans? unsettling the money man?

Why the hell does something always seem to pop up? - "Dark Forces" again

And to what purpose?

The only options I can see to start this story would be

The Pantomime Villain which I know is not the case

Somebody with a grudge from the past (MW or RL or maybe even JP) trying to cause trouble

The other mystery foreign bidder or the deposed Irish

Salz's last minute salvation

The guys who dropped out of Pinnacle Group

Fry himself trying to put pressure onto Pinnacle to get a move on

or the guy who dropped out of the MJ group when asked to pay the deposit.

Probably could even be that White Witch we supposedly p*ssed off when she exorcised SMS

Forgetting the fact that it is well out of order, this is ODD and it makes me seriously wonder why?

Interesting ........ I thought I was the only one to have such thoughts about The Devil's Alliance ........... THEY HAVE BOTH BEEN TOO QUIET !!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks Neil (NSS). Your post and the follow up from Tony Lynam should settle a few nerves.

For those who may mistrust newer posters, Neil is a good friend of mine and is the fund raising face behind Smile4Rich.

Here is a link showing they have a Dinner Gala tonight and Pinnacle sponsor S4R. In the photo are 3 who post on here (not me by the way) but I will not embarrass them by names. http://www.smile4rich.co.uk/fundraising/event-calendar

When you visit the link why not read what they are about and make a donation ;)

wasn't it you who said this came from not Southampton but the city? Almost as if trying to add credibility to the story - although the author claimed it came from the club

It upsets me when this type of information starts circling and the gullible masses start to accept such stories as being true. The only thing in my own opinion that could upset this deal is the throwback on the money markets provoked by the chaotic scenario being played out in Downing Street. Tomorrow sees the European Elections and the overall results could throw the value of the pound even further downwards. Let's hope not but as I've already posted, it's not over till it's signed, sealed and delivered. Don't get carried away just yet.

This story is factually incorrect and all fans should totally disregard it. Will leave you to guess the motivation behind the rumour originator

The view on here is that it's either a Skate or a photo copier salesman.

But it does appear to be based on fact i.e. that Pinnacle did not stump up the full £500K as requested. It was also not denied by Tony Lynam.

has he? where?

Neil

I've been urged to log in to this by a friend to read about our apparent collapse, which I clearly found odd since I would naturally be the first to know!

But yes everyone, sorry to disappoint you all and ruin this rumour, I am a very relaxed man. Matters of a legal nature are in the hands of legal people and everything is progressing as it should be.

Catch up with you later Neil, we're both really looking forward to tonights bash.

Cheers

Tony

Like I said the other night, as this rumour was mentioned before. It is all ******** and Im gald to see Tony has come out to quash it quickly.

Great that he did, but I hope we are not all expecting him to come on and quash every rumour, otherwise they'll never complete on time!!

Having witnessed this sort of discrediting and/or disinformation thing first hand (albeit on a much less important matter and scale) I can attest that some people are just jerks.

Sadly not everyone's behaviour can be understood in rational terms, nor do they apparently need to have a motive!

If only we were all Vulcans lol.

Pinnacle have never claimed that they paid £500,000 up front. Nor has Fry. Only some sloppy reporting by the Daily Echo gave the impression that they did.

Are we really excepting that post as genuine? I could set up a user name as "Tony" and post any old gumble.

I'm going to reserve judgement until I see more legitimate denials!

I can vouch for Tony's statement if anyone holds my posts with any credibility!! :)

I have previously stated things on here in good faith that have been shown to have some factual basis!!

£500K was Fry's stated precondition for any party to enter the exclusive phase of the negotiations. If, as reported, Pinnacle was unwilling to meet this demand and Leon Crouch's cash and Dyer's rushed through transfer fee has been used to part pay the wages then I think we are entitiled to ask why.

If they DID get others to pay the cash, it may just be that they are not daft enough to risk their own money.

Or then again maybe they are not so wealthy.

Or they didn't have the readies, but are wealthy(ish).

or etc etc etc

I think boollerx, e.g.:

" If they’re so rich and so keen, then why didn’t they just pay the full exclusivity fee? "

Because people who are "so rich" got "so rich" by NOT "paying the full fee". There have been many people making similar sorts of comments ("....very rich....can afford to pay mega bucks....." etc etc).

Rich people are, by and large, rich because they are better with money than the average poster on here.

Why not wait and see what happens in the next two weeks?

All this stirring and rumour mongering sounds like sour grapes from someone who seems to want the Pinnicle bid to fail.

Lets all just chill out, have a beer or two and let things take their course.

rocknrollman - you always have the best ideas! :drinkers:

Has anyone thought that the deal that is on the point of collapse could be the arrangement between Pinnacle and their multi-millionaire client? The legal arrangements with the Administrator will be negotiated by lawyers instructed by the principle, not Pinnacle and asset/share purchases are not that complicated.

Maybe, just maybe, Pinnacle's contract with the client was done over a beer in the Lock, Stock and Barrel and getting it on paper, is proving a bit more difficult, now that Daddy Warbucks may be thinking he doesn't need his ginger-haired orphan anymore, particularly when the exclusivity period expires.

In other words, remember the golden rule. He who has the gold, makes the rules...

There was a bit of trouble down the LOCK, STOCK AND BARREL last week if that helps GM

The problem is that until the "deal is done" we are all (me included) twitchy and susceptible to any nonsense posted on here. I believe the things posted by NSS (and considering that he is a skate, that is something!), Tony Lynham and the Farmer (and one or two others). I am am going back to my bottle of "Pheasant Gulley" (an excellent Cabernet Merlot from M & S ) and wait for things to pan out. Sober me up when it all happens!
