um pahars Posted 5 June, 2009 Posted 5 June, 2009 Have to say that given some of our recent opponents this is a pretty decent fixture. Up there with the coup of Bayern Munich a few years back. Would have thought a decent crowd for the regime's first home game (fingers crossed) could be expected.

Theirs is in Portugal, I am there at the time and have a Benfica supporting father-in law so may go and sit in the Benfica end. It seems Ajax must be doing a UK tour as they are also playing Brizzle City.

Annoyingly I'll be at Glade Festival in Winchester that weekend, but at least it's looking good for the future if they feel confident enough to announce a prestige fixture like this now.

He is a curse though, both games he's been to we've lost against Peterborough and Notts county. He's still a Saints fan though I think I've brainwashed him satis. Could be done for child cruelty though brainwashing him as a Saints fan at the moment!

But since the match will be a good three weeks after Ajax start their pre-season all their "stars" will be playing. Keep an eye out for Suarez, a brilliant player that will no doubt be playing in one of the top Spanish teams soon.
