Mole Posted 2 June, 2009 Posted 2 June, 2009 Another tour of Scotland would be good, this time the Edinburgh area. With the Euro exchange rate making Europe a rip-off holidaying in Scotland is appealing to me and i've never been to Scotlands capital - reckon it'd be a good crack.

bungle Posted 2 June, 2009 Posted 2 June, 2009 Already going to Edinburgh this year. I would think if there was to be a proper tour they would have to be preparing it by now anyway, and so I get the feeling it will just be domestic friendlies again. Anyway, no better tour than Sweden.

That is not true the only money classed as legal tender in England and Wales is that which is printed by the bank of England, that doesn't however mean scotish money should be rejected but it is up to the individual retailer to decide if the currency is acceptable. Really we should just remove the stupid law that allows these scotish banks to print money and have a single currency for the uk.

Last season's tour of Hampshire was quite entertaining, and given the timescales I'm not expecting much more this season. I've only seen Woking and Eastleigh "confirmed" (not by Saints either) so far. By some miracle the Eastleigh game DOESN'T seem to clash with a pre-existing plan or holiday I have, so I might actually get to go - bizarrely for the first time ever.

I agree Plus if you open the gates for a pound or 3 and have the facilities open the club could earn a quid ( ????)

As a lower league club I would think that we will be playing almost all of our pre-season games at home against any Prem and CCC teams that haven't already booked all their games by the time we get our act sorted. We might play some away pre-season games but these would be against non-league teams. Playing mostly home pre-season games will also help raise a few quid.

Rut Posted 2 June, 2009 Posted 2 June, 2009 Mid-west USA would be a good place to go. Nice weather and good facilities. Saints could play Chicago Fire and Columbus Crew (West Ham played them last year so it's not that un-feasible). Gets my vote anyway...
