hamster Posted 1 June, 2009 Author Share Posted 1 June, 2009 Where is Danny La Rue Street/Road/Close/Avenue/Towers please? I really do want to know.
Badger Posted 1 June, 2009 Share Posted 1 June, 2009 Perhaps the kindest thing that could be said of him,as per Quentin Crisp many years before, is that Danny La Rue was one of the nations favourite "stately homo's." Although not particularly keen on him or his acts he was certainly light years ahead of the dirge now served up as entertainment such as 'Lily Savage'. Sheaf Saint Posted 2 June, 2009 Share Posted 2 June, 2009 (edited) I believe he once lived in a riverside appartment in Whitworth Rd, off the Triangle. Indeed he did. I used to see him walking his little yap dog around riverside park quite often when I lived round that way. I remember queing behind him in the newsagents at the triangle once and he seemed a very quiet and unassuming fellow - very different from his stage/screen persona. May you rest well Danny.
