Wes Tender Posted 2 June, 2009 Posted 2 June, 2009 What a total idiot. You may well be happy to play Russian roulette but the result does not justify the action in any way. We all are very happy with the possibility of where we are now but that does not justify any such sort of moronic action. It is early days yet to decide how we might end up, but then again, of course it is also too early to make a statement saying that the action taken was moronic and unjustified. We will have to wait and see what transpires. But as far as I'm concerned, provided that money is invested into getting us back to the Premiership, ridding us of the PLC, putting an end to the internecine warfare amongst the egos of the charlatans, then the end might well justify the means.
alpine_saint Posted 2 June, 2009 Posted 2 June, 2009 Maybe only with Alpine and could I be blamed? ;-) Dont ever reach out for the moral high ground or sermonise about wit and intelligence again, will you ???
alpine_saint Posted 2 June, 2009 Posted 2 June, 2009 What a total idiot. You may well be happy to play Russian roulette but the result does not justify the action in any way. Of course it does you daft sod. Another relegation next season under the old managment with no funds and cutting costs accordingly would have really killed us.
Frank's cousin Posted 2 June, 2009 Posted 2 June, 2009 Dont ever reach out for the moral high ground or sermonise about wit and intelligence again, will you ??? You know for one so wise to the fact you speak alot of incomprehensible garbage...oh and have absolutely no sense of irony, humour etc...
Neil Posted 2 June, 2009 Posted 2 June, 2009 Administration has been the best thing to happen to Saints since the Cup Final (2003!). To have no debt, no PLC and no divisive board next season will be like having a new SFC. Not to mention probably some decent crowds, and some nice grounds to visit. Even if we haven't got loads of cash it will still be like a glorious rebirth. Ok, the last few weeks have not been easy, but it will prove to be well worth it in the end.
happiness stan Posted 9 June, 2009 Posted 9 June, 2009 I thought it might be on this thread, but no luck. Does anyone have that picture of an F5 key that says "Blame Lowe"? Can't remember which thread it was on.

I can't believe that statement. How about showing some regard for the poor souls who were suppliers and have lost considerable amounts of money the club owed them. I find us in administration an embarrassment to our reputation.Ok we will have no debt (although we dont know the terms of the new regime)

alpine_saint Posted 7 July, 2009 Posted 7 July, 2009 And so it comes to pass. Still the little issue of two divisions to get promoted from. I am just so relieved and exhausted, I cant be bothered with smugness.
SaintRobbie Posted 7 July, 2009 Posted 7 July, 2009 Still the little issue of two divisions to get promoted from. I am just so relieved and exhausted, I cant be bothered with smugness. Large sacrifice to make Alps, but it will have been worth it in the long run.
bungle Posted 7 July, 2009 Posted 7 July, 2009 Hopefully they will stay away as the atmosphere was positive on the whole last season, and people got behind the team. Perhaps we weeded out those who are only at games to snipe and moan. This will be an ideal opportunity to get new, supportive, fans.
OldNick Posted 7 July, 2009 Posted 7 July, 2009 Lets hope its a happy ending. It is like standing in the middle of the road and hoping a rolls royce stops and picks you up and not just runs over you.
The9 Posted 7 July, 2009 Posted 7 July, 2009 If we have crowds of over 20,000 for every home game next season I'll eat my house, and if we don't, it's not Rupert Bleeding Lowe's fault THIS season either.

If we're winning matches we'll get over 20,000 per game no problem. Now just a small matter of winning games... new manager and a team to buy.
Toadhall Saint Posted 7 July, 2009 Posted 7 July, 2009 I thank them when they come and watch us play again - didn't see a lot from the stay aways after he who shall not be named got turfed out.
Dibden Purlieu Saint Posted 7 July, 2009 Posted 7 July, 2009 As one of the more vocal posters against people boycotting, and being very harsh to those fans that did, may I offer the humblest of apologies. I was wrong, and I'm sorry to those I insulted as not being a 'proper' fan, so to Mole/Stanley, Alpine, Gingeletiss and the rest, I'm sorry. PS. Told you I'd apologise if we survived
Redondo Saint Posted 7 July, 2009 Posted 7 July, 2009 Looking back at this thread made me realise how fecking gullible some posters are and how some still don't understand the club almost became extinct. We can only hope for a period of stability and sustainability, nothing's guaranteed.

Dibden Purlieu Saint Posted 7 July, 2009 Posted 7 July, 2009 to quick off the mark i heard they plan was to buy the gas holders and build an artifcial sky slope If anything falls through now though it's due to external sources, FL, Mark Fry etc, so I no longer blame... Southampton does need a Ski slope though...
Secret Site Agent Posted 7 July, 2009 Posted 7 July, 2009 Thankyou for making the sacrifice and killing off the Lowe regime. You are the reason that Lowe and Wilde are no longer at the club. You are the reason that we don't have to endure life in League 1 with Lowe and Wilde still at the club. You are the reason that Saints are now on the verge of single ownership, and that the PLC is dead. You are the reason that Saints now have a future and that the feelgood factor is returning. Thankyou for making it happen, you saved SFC. **** off!!!!! They are the reason that this club has almost disappeared without trace, and why we face life in League one on -10 points. Tosser

Thankyou for making it happen, you saved SFC. Wrong, It was the fact that Lowe made the worst managerial decision in our history
Mole Posted 7 July, 2009 Author Posted 7 July, 2009 **** off!!!!! They are the reason that this club has almost disappeared without trace, and why we face life in League one on -10 points. Tosser No, the reason we face life in L1 with minus 10 points is because Rupert Lowe put us into administration after the deadline.
Thedelldays Posted 7 July, 2009 Posted 7 July, 2009 No, the reason we face life in L1 with minus 10 points is because Rupert Lowe put us into administration after the deadline. give it a rest....dont sound like the loonies who still blame thatcher for the wrongs of this country today... i feel people need to mention and have rupes in their lives in someway just to feel complete
SaintRobbie Posted 7 July, 2009 Posted 7 July, 2009 (edited) **** off!!!!! They are the reason that this club has almost disappeared without trace, and why we face life in League one on -10 points. Tosser No they're not. Without Lowe they wouldnt have been boycotting, so even if Lowe was a genius and they were all wrong it's actually Lowe's fault! Lowe had the plugged pulled by Barclays for failing to increase gates as well as two other reasons stated by Barclays when they kicked him out so beautifully, which I can't remember now... but they did say one reason was he had to increase gates. He didnt, just because he was Lowe and also because of his crap managerial appointment and youth playing policy. Barclays sacked Lowe - partly cos Lowe FAILED to increase gates. Fact. Read their statement. So it is Lowe's fault we went into administration - not the stay aways! Praise be to Lowe's ineptitude for the Swiss billionaires! All he had to do was sell last summer too. Edited 7 July, 2009 by SaintRobbie
Thedelldays Posted 7 July, 2009 Posted 7 July, 2009 we shall see if the gates increase by any sort of margin wont we
saintjay77 Posted 7 July, 2009 Posted 7 July, 2009 I got a great idea. Things look to be going against what i thought they would and to make myself feel better im going to boycott all home games and slag off everyone that dont agree with me untill the club is almost ruined again. then when i am right ill score some points by making my self look like a di ck on an internet forum. Class

Told you I'd apologise if we survived I respect you for having the balls to face up to reality. In a nutshell we are on the verge of a bright new dawn due to admin. In time the vast majority will look back at admin and say it was the best thing to happen to us since 1976.
SaintRobbie Posted 7 July, 2009 Posted 7 July, 2009 we shall see if the gates increase by any sort of margin wont we We shall. But we will need the Swiss to give optimism... that requires a new manager and player purchases IMHO.
buctootim Posted 7 July, 2009 Posted 7 July, 2009 The Russian roulette gamble came off. I'm delighted it has worked out so well. I wouldnt ever want to do it again.
SaintRobbie Posted 7 July, 2009 Posted 7 July, 2009 The Russian roulette gamble came off. I'm delighted it has worked out so well. I wouldnt ever want to do it again. It was always going to. There were AND ARE always buyers for this club.
Micky Posted 7 July, 2009 Posted 7 July, 2009 I have an old trumpet, not been used in years - anybody want to buy it per chance...?
buctootim Posted 7 July, 2009 Posted 7 July, 2009 It was always going to. There were AND ARE always buyers for this club. No. We were extremely fortunate there was one serious good one. Without them we'd be with ****wits or oblivion.

There were buyers two years ago, there wouldve been buyers last summer, there were 19 with 6 serious ones on day one of administration. There will always be people willing to buy Football clubs, particularly ones with infrastructure, fans and history.
saintjay77 Posted 7 July, 2009 Posted 7 July, 2009 When they fiind out who introduced them to the club then watch them change their tune. Lol oh it would be priceless if RL and co had a hand in sending the swiss our way. Cant see that being the case in a million years and would be terified if it was true and it left a door open for him but the 1st look on a few's faces would be pretty funny. lol

You believe what you want in your little bubble. tbh I long ceased to give any weight to your judgement on anything at all. We've been very lucky and if you recognised that it might actually make you appreciate what we have a bit more - and where we might be going. However I'm sure it won't be long before you start on your next 'this is sh*t someone out' rant.

And whats more you spouted crap in your little world about how good Wotte is. You've been proven wrong on the former and even if Wotte keeps his job will no doubt be seen to have talked crap on the latter. I am quite happy. My **** get him out rant happily came to an end when Barclays acted decisively and when the new owners unite the fanbase with a new manager - hopefully very shortly - I will enjoy another celebratory wine.
