Am reading his book "Jellyman's Thrown a Wobbly" which is all about Soccer Saturday, and came across the following quote whilst his was writing about Le Tiss:

.."As it was, by staying at Southampton he was a) regarded highly by large numbers of the football community because his club were hardly perennial winners, and b) hated only by Pompey fans, and who really cares about that?"

Brilliant, and that from a Hartlepool fan as well.

I would highly recomend the book, has some great stories in it, and Jeff's admiration for Le Tiss is there for all to see.

Have not got round to buying this book yet but it already sounds an interesting read.

Just reading it myself and really enjoying it. Jeff has always had a soft spot for saints. A top top top bloke

Lives in Alresford and he's been down to watch us quite a few times, I remember him saying his kids were mascots one time.

Really nice bloke, he watched a couple of my football matches for Alresford when he was at the park with his kids. Legend.

I met him at M3 Winchester South last year

Really nice guy & told me his kids were Saints fans

That's funny, I didn't think Saints fans wore Chelsea shirts... (One of them is a Chelsea fan at least, I'm sure of it!)

I've read it, Definitely a fantastic read!

''Matt (Le Tissier) sadly was a coke addict, not the Mark Bosnich type, no i'm talking about his fondness for a particular brand of fizzy drink''

I met him about 2 weeks after they were mascots

I got the impression from what JS was saying, that they were Saints fans
