When you posted that information originally, had you been digging around for the information as you suggested?

 

Or was it a case of "knowing" the information due to your commercial relationship with Pinnacle/Lynam ( a relationship that appears to stretch back to at least July 2008 ).

 

Was the information 'blessed' for release?

 

I tell you why I ask, because at the time there was a lot of (unfair) criticism on here about the look & feel and grammar used on the Pinnacle site. Within a day or so the site was changed and the grammar tidied. This does suggest (to me at least) that there was a degree of communication between the forum and Pinnacle (via you I presume).

 

The alternative is that you were digging into information behind Lynam's back and releasing it on here around about the same time you were making changes to your client's web site - not too ethical that. And I have you down as someone with ethics than that.

 

So my dear Watson, if I was a conspiracy theorist I'd jump immediately to the conclusion that what you put in your original post was blessed/fed to you by Pinnacle.

Do not think that this is a simple case of dotting i's and crossing t's;Pinnacle were given preferential treatment over the Jackson consortium on a set of verbal commitments and the involvement of MLT. You will soon witness the collapse of this deal due to 'irreconcilable difference'

It may be a Skate - but somebody, somewhere is circulating these malicious but worrying comments.

 

They are popping up in unexpected places and are totally at odds with our opinions and feelings on here and with what NSS & Farmer are telling us.

 

It all seems a bit strange as I see no reason why this should be happening and who has anything to gain.

This was coming from other places initially. I had a similar call yesterday lunch time. The information came via someone not involved in the bidding process but that person refused to give any details of why it would fail. I just shrugged it off as these sorts of rumours will happen until the deal is sorted.

 

The signs are still encouraging as far as I am concerned.

He is an "unknown" millionaire with a fortune of ~£350M

 

He has worked with the Guernsey-based Candy Brothers on property deals. I am guessing (yes, I know) here that the Candy brothers were clients of Pinnacle and assuming (yes, I know) that the Candy Brothers may have been originally part of the consortium.

 

Good mates with Philip Green.

 

Also has done business with Gavyn Davies.

Evening all. I see you're all still busily playing blind man's buff on the question of who the new owner will be. I suspect that very few outside of TL, MLT and MF actually know the name, and would be very surprised if anyone posting on here has such knowledge as I just can't imagine that they'd not have been tempted to claim ultimate ITK status by now.

 

Out of interest, are Saints even covered by the FA requirement to disclose ownership, or do the Football League have the same requirement? If not, then I wouldn't be surprised if it remains under wraps for a while yet.

 

As for that 'Ted Rogers' stuff, it's absolutely true....

That's not the point MLG. The point is Master Bates chose to be sarky rather than helpful.

 

Furthermore, no other forum I use charges for the privilege. I don't see why I should pay for this, however small the fee is. Each to their own.
