St Landrew Posted 3 June, 2009 Posted 3 June, 2009 The BBC news reports today that there was a minor earthquake centred around the city of Southampton. Initial enquiries seem to indicate that the cause was due to 30,000 odd Southampton Football Club fans jaws hitting the ground at the same time, as they found out that the new owner of their club was a certain Mr Rupert Lowe.
Amesbury Saint Posted 3 June, 2009 Posted 3 June, 2009 Normally i would not ask for a PM ref the identity.......but on this occasion........Please.... and pm me please
Guest Dark Sotonic Mills Posted 3 June, 2009 Posted 3 June, 2009 I've heard it's a photocopier salesman worth £750. Don't know what to believe these days. I believe it's a bloke with a briefcase who has a £750 overdraft.

WinchesterSaint Posted 3 June, 2009 Posted 3 June, 2009 The Arches ? Is it Phil Mitchell, Gary and Minty ?
StuRomseySaint Posted 3 June, 2009 Posted 3 June, 2009 SherlockRomseySaint now believes the original Pinnacle to consist of... Tabor McManus Magnier Lloyd-Webber I am unsure which one stuck around and who walked, I would suspect it is between Tabor and Lloyd-Webber on whom owns us, and McManus and Magnier being the 'mystery Irish consortium' Lloyd-Webber being the more likely. By the way, all four of these people are linked to each other in a number of business deals and horse consortiums, Lloyd-Webbers missus is a director of Newbury Racecourse. Lloyd-Webber has stakes in property, as do the others. All four of them are wealthy businessmen and Lloyd-Webber is the 'household name' . Oh, and is it any suprise as to Barry Hearns bitter rant about us, when they recently had a consortium back out of buying them..... and their most wealthy fan is Lord Lloyd Webber? Could it be a bit of bitterness or just coincidence? SherlockRomseyStu signing off.... xxx
Mole Posted 3 June, 2009 Posted 3 June, 2009 And me please ;-) I can't reveal too much, but i'll give you one final clue.... "This one's from the other end, my names a clue for a little friend"
Ponty Posted 3 June, 2009 Posted 3 June, 2009 Cue Musicals references yet again You start with those funky puns again and I'll restrict your access to include only the BNP thread in the lounge.
bridge too far Posted 3 June, 2009 Posted 3 June, 2009 You start with those funky puns again and I'll restrict your access to include only the BNP thread in the lounge. I'll make a right song and dance if you do [-X xx
Guest Dark Sotonic Mills Posted 3 June, 2009 Posted 3 June, 2009 You start with those funky puns again and I'll restrict your access to include only the BNP thread in the lounge. I wonder if she'll be able to stave off your criticism and note what you say?
saint lard Posted 3 June, 2009 Posted 3 June, 2009 I'm eating pizza. this is about the third random reference to Pizza on differing threads today......ok i will bite (pardon the pun) is this a not so subtle clue?. Yes i'm slow.

Colinjb Posted 3 June, 2009 Posted 3 June, 2009 pm me too please..the suspense is killing me now... Go on then, me too.
Mole Posted 3 June, 2009 Posted 3 June, 2009 Could you please all stop pm'ing me. My source is getting worried that the deal may be put in jeopardy. I have apparently already given away too much with the clues.
bridge too far Posted 3 June, 2009 Posted 3 June, 2009 et moi svp Jan, will you PM me please - when you get your PM that is?
lee_saint Posted 3 June, 2009 Posted 3 June, 2009 Anyone wants to PM me, feel free, many thanks xXxXx
Dr Who? Posted 3 June, 2009 Posted 3 June, 2009 I cannot see how being PM'ed is really going to make any difference as it is probably incorrect anyway. I would be very suprised if I got PM'ed a name of a person in the money who is taking over and that was the same person who was to take over. I think I lot of guessing is going on as my source at the club is not really close enough anymore or keeping very quiet, but I would expect if anyone was to find out then it would be him over anyone on this board (MW) But feel free and if you are right with your guess I will pay you £50!!!
ypbl Posted 3 June, 2009 Posted 3 June, 2009 I can't reveal too much, but i'll give you one final clue.... "This one's from the other end, my names a clue for a little friend" Davy lamp.
Dr Who? Posted 3 June, 2009 Posted 3 June, 2009 i wonder if the ITK's really do know..... No they are not it is all guess work from what others say..... but such fun!!!
Ponty Posted 3 June, 2009 Posted 3 June, 2009 I can't reveal too much, but i'll give you one final clue.... "This one's from the other end, my names a clue for a little friend" Clue for a little friend - "Wee" and it's part of the 'name'. The other end = Scotland! It's Wee Jimmy Krankie.

Could it be a bit of bitterness or just coincidence? SherlockRomseyStu signing off.... xxx That's fantastic Holmes, Watson here and I wonder how you can reconcile the above with the first post of any substance on the matter from The Farmer? I've made a couple of phone calls following the info I received this morning to try and put some names to the people/companies involved. As far as I can make out there is a Southampton based property agency called Pinnacle who have sponsored local charity golf events featuring Le Tiss. Reading between the lines, and this maybe pure coincidence, but this same company also look after a few London property owners (big hitters) who have been spending money like its going out of fashion lately and who also have strong links with another administrator that they've bought at least 2 properties/concerns from. I've been trying to confirm these details with a contact of MLT's but apparently Matt's playing golf in the West Country. But I am reliably informed that this proposal does have Matts implicit support. As for this 'consortium', as far as I can tell there are only actually only 2 or 3 clients they look after!!! Sounds like an ideal set up for Saints fans to get behind. Anybody know any more?? Bearing in mind that (I think) we've subsequently learned that The Farmer created the web site for Pinnacle and has known Tony Lynam for a number of years. So I think that this post is laden with either clues or misinformation. I wonder if it was posted with the blessing of Pinnacle. Either way, it does seem to suggest that this was about property and not ponies.
Mole Posted 3 June, 2009 Posted 3 June, 2009 Davy lamp. Okay okay. This ones from the other end, well previous rumours have been from the east so this one must be from the west end. My names a clue for a little friend, well jacko is a little friend who's been talked about much on here. Jack, that has obvious connections with a possible big prize. The minors lamp may have made you think of a headlight, it used to be the minor, now it's the mayfair. You've just won the mini mayfair.
hypochondriac Posted 3 June, 2009 Posted 3 June, 2009 Hahahaha! You can't really believe that is the name of the investor people! I may end up with egg on my face but I'm willing to bet a fair amount that to the people who pmd me: someone is pulling your leg
Ludwig Posted 3 June, 2009 Posted 3 June, 2009 If you got the name I've been told, I agree that it's probably a wind-up, possibly a pseudonym so we don't find out the real identity?
mattbrennan Posted 3 June, 2009 Posted 3 June, 2009 I'm interested in being ITK too - if someone could PM me that would be great.
hypochondriac Posted 3 June, 2009 Posted 3 June, 2009 I'm sort of hoping it's true. If so that's f*cking funny. You couldn't have written the goings on at sfc over the past few years!
