Message from Tony Lynam

Having read this twice now I am so optimistic that we have finally turned the corner but I have a crap record...I supported Wilde, gave Lowe a second chance.....

All I can do is follow my team as best I can...I said last year was the last year for my 2 STs after hating last season so much.

If Pinnacle do complete the take over I will deffo renew.

Thanks Tony for your hard work

The news just gets better

My Question would relate to the playing side. once they are in place will they do all they can to keep kelvin Davies, Llanna, surman and co and the rest of the youngsters>

This is a really positive day even western isles saint has woken from hibernation. Hello Hebridean Saint from Draganov based in Orkney

Let's be fair - he said absolutely nothing concrete at all in several paragraphs, apart from a lot of patting on the back for himself.

To you, that might be excellent communication but to me it is anything but.

Well we have had enough of manifestos....this is just a start IMO and he couldnt exactly give you his 20 point plan for success considering they havn't actually completed the deal and it could still go tits up.

See this for what it is the first step in trying to get us on the right step nothing more.

Good news and from an exile... I will invest in a membership and go to as many games as I can... The MK Dons match is likely to be my nearest. Had things transpired local games for me would also have been Peterborough (promoted) and Northampton (relegated).. still beggars cant be choosers.

As I said on TT's thread - the Saints story meanders on and I feel we will be privelaged to witness the re-birth and new success of our great club. Thanks Tony for a wonderful message of hope - more in tune with the supporters than any transmitted from the Boardroom over the last ten years I would venture. I feel sure that 1,000's of fans like me will be renewing their ST's, buying matchday tickets and merchandise at the very first opportunity. Yours and Matts efforts WILL be recognised for MANY YEARS to come. Thank you.

PS: I want a statue of Matt outside SMS alongside Ted! Let's start a campaign!

Reading between the lines, will this mean the high earners will be shipped out if we are to be self sufficient ?

reading the actual lines

...arriving to the point that my client was willing to make an offer - not just to buy the club (that's the easy part), but to buy into the concept of sustained investment over the medium-long term to make this great club a success.

doesn't sound as if your reading between the lines will be the case :D

Our one client has SUBSTANTIAL wealth - several hundred million.

This is a massive difference to the likes of Lowe, Wilde and Crouch.

In League 1 and the championship having someone with some clout behind us makes us one of the big boys.

This all sounds extremely positive and, as Manji says, to the point and no 'we've got our club back'.

Who knows what the future holds but the green shoots of recovery appear to be there. I hope we don't try and spend, spend, spend and build around the nucleus of the team from last season with 1 or 2 additions.

Many thanks for posting Mr Lynam.

Thanks for taking the time to inform us of the goings on i think we all appreciate it.

You said that we can ask questions and you will put them to the guys who want to buy the club.

A question i have is what do they think about Wotte and if they do buy the club will they keep him on or replace him?

In lieu of the points deduction i think we need to strengthen in the summer within reason to overcome this. If come january we are in with a shout of the play-offs/automatic promotion then perhaps make a couple more signings to bolster the charge. Good home gates are vital though because if we don't make the effort then you can hardly expect our new owner to spend his money - it's a two way thing.

Finding a new manager is absolutely vital though, but i expect Matt Le Tissier has already sorted this out in private....

Tony's posting on here states client but on the Pinnacle press release states clients, is this significant ?

Not really, as he says initially he was representing a group of people which has now been whittled down to just one person.

Well thanks Mr Lynam to you and your client for getting to this stage. I am not going to go any further and get carried away. As we know where it counts is on the pitch. So with that in mind i would avoid all Q&A requests as its amateurish behaviour. We had that from someone in recent years who stabbed us all in the back. Also avoid any leaking gossip and coming on this forum as well.

Oh MY GOD!!! A thread on this forum that has got to the 2nd page and is still a happy and positive one!! I never thought I'd see that happen.

I know the deals not done, but that letter gives me much hope and I'll be sinking a few pints tonight to celebrate.

I am very pleased with this and am certainly more comfortable with the position.

Why not name the ONE funder?

I am sure that there is a good reason and all will become clear soon. Meanwhile, I cannot express how much I wish to thank you for your efforts to save our club and give us all hope. I cannot celebrate fully until the deal is done, because there have been so many false dawns and disappointments over the years but will "give it large" when it actully happens!

From a very "Happyoldgit!":D

Thank you for those words Mr Lynam and for all the hard work you and your team have put in to keep sfc alive.

It is obvious that already your future plans are re-uniting a long divided fan base by the inclusion of our legend MLT and the fact that we will have just one owner.

I would also like to give my thanks to Leon Crouch who kept the wolves from the doors and enabled your bid to progress and hopefully conclude. A true saint!

Finally, can I wish the new owner in waiting all the best for the future. After suffering many years of division and heartbreak as fans of sfc I think you will find that he will be welcome with open arms.

hope and pray this is true, after being fed dross and lies by that moron lowe, who treated the loyal and in my eyes one of the best set of supporters in the land as sub human scum, this reads as a real treat for all of us saints, so welcome and god bless you

He cant say too much at the moment but the letter gives some idea whats going on.I dont get the "patting himself on the back" thing at all. He sounds quite pleased but why not ?

No sign of "SAINTS GO TONY" T-shirts at all.

Thank you Mr Lynam, thank you Matt and thanks Mr Mystery Investor.

Now it's time for us all to unite, move on from the past, get behind the club, the players, forget about the boardroom and enjoy a stonking couple of years returning to the promised land!

Finally, some good news !!!

Got everything crossed, hoping that this deal does go through. If it does, I’m so glad that MLT will have a major role within the club.

Hopefully, this will be the start of a bright new era for all Saints fans. Looking forward to (slowly probably!!) working our way back up the leagues.

Is it possible to elevate Le Tissier to a position higher that god !!!
