Neil Posted 30 May, 2009 Posted 30 May, 2009 Would imagine it will start with the usual round of fixtures against local non-league clubs. Good for fitness and good for those club's income. We've done the Salisbury/Eastleigh split squads, but I think last time it was reduced to Basingstoke/Winchester! Eastleigh game is always popular, would be good to send some Saints XI to Totton and/or Vospers pre-season, as they're both Southern League now.

I heard we turned it down on the grounds the Malaysians would only pay us an appearance fee of 12mil and so we are off to China to play Barcelona, Santos and the Chinese National Team. We then fly back via LA where we of course have a friendly against Beckham's LA Galaxy. I may have misheard due to a crackly line and it could of course be Branksome Chine down the road for some beach training and matches against Bashley, Salisbury and the all conquering TSW Home team
