trousers Posted 29 May, 2009 Posted 29 May, 2009 http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/articles/article.php?page_id=11783 Hmmm....suspiciously fast turnaround for interviews....would suggest that the deal was closer to being done than yesterday's doom-and-gloom news implied. Hmmmm....
bridge too far Posted 29 May, 2009 Posted 29 May, 2009 Hmmm....suspiciously fast turnaround for interviews....would suggest that the deal was closer to being done than yesterday's doom-and-gloom news implied. Hmmmm.... It does point out that the players were also told they wouldn't get paid for May.
INFLUENCED.COM Posted 29 May, 2009 Posted 29 May, 2009 Another quick reaction from Davis or a pre planned statement ?
kpturner Posted 29 May, 2009 Posted 29 May, 2009 Hmmm....suspiciously fast turnaround for interviews....would suggest that the deal was closer to being done than yesterday's doom-and-gloom news implied. Hmmmm....Crikey - do you have any theories about who really killed JFK?
trousers Posted 29 May, 2009 Posted 29 May, 2009 Crikey - do you have any theories about who really killed JFK? He was never killed. Was smuggled up in the moon lander in '69 and lived up there in an oxygen podule for 27 years.
Ludwig Posted 29 May, 2009 Posted 29 May, 2009 Seems like KD and Surman want to stay and that the Pinnacle lot can definitely sustain that. Encouraging.
INFLUENCED.COM Posted 29 May, 2009 Posted 29 May, 2009 Crikey - do you have any theories about who really killed JFK? LBJ, everyone knows that...don't they ?
SaintRichmond Posted 29 May, 2009 Posted 29 May, 2009 Crikey - do you have any theories about who really killed JFK? The Grassy Knoll jumped out and head butted JFK as his car passed by ..... I thought everybody knew that ????
sambosa75 Posted 29 May, 2009 Posted 29 May, 2009 Good on Kelvin. "I'm a Saints player through and through". He wants to stay here, I hope we can now reward his loyalty with a contract for next season and hopefully one or two players to play in front of him who are worthy of having him as a goalkeeper. Happy news and most definately cause for celebration this evening.
70's Mike Posted 29 May, 2009 Posted 29 May, 2009 The Grassy Knoll jumped out and head butted JFK as his car passed by ..... I thought everybody knew that ???? nah that was Docker Walker
Ewell Posted 29 May, 2009 Posted 29 May, 2009 I have to say Wottes commitment to the cause really impresses me. It is a shame he could not keep us up as his temperament and character are the kind we need. He is a 'can do' and 'positive' gut it is just a shame his management skills can be questioned!
RoswellSaint Posted 29 May, 2009 Posted 29 May, 2009 He was never killed. Was smuggled up in the moon lander in '69 and lived up there in an oxygen podule for 27 years. I thought he was here or is that only since '96?
Golac's Cunning Stunts Posted 29 May, 2009 Posted 29 May, 2009 Hmmm....suspiciously fast turnaround for interviews....would suggest that the deal was closer to being done than yesterday's doom-and-gloom news implied. Hmmmm.... From reading that article, it sounds like somebody called him up on his phone. Yes, those things are quite fast.

Agree with you. But he is a drowning man clinging on to his last lifebelt, who else in England would employ him? His career in Holland was littered with relegation and even administration. It is very easy to come out with the talk but he never walked the walk. He never had a plan B and stuck rigid to the narrow diamond formation. Some silly team selections (like Morgan wide right at Blackpool worst performance from a Saints player this season) and although I accept he had limited squad he was part of the management team that bought in 7 shocking loans.

That's a bit unfair Even when he got relegated with Den Bosch, he still got the Dutch U21's job straight after He was highly thought of in Holland
Give it to Ron Posted 29 May, 2009 Posted 29 May, 2009 That's a bit unfair Even when he got relegated with Den Bosch, he still got the Dutch U21's job straight after He was highly thought of in Holland Really? http://netherlands.worldcupblog.org/1/feyenoord-where-did-it-go-wrong.html Someone appointed former youth player Mark Wotte as technical director. Why? Nobody knows. Wotte was a mediocre coach at mediocre clubs. Didn’t have any management experience at all. Still, he was in charge of building a new Feyenoord, with Ruud Gullit. I don’t know how many players came from how many different countries, but at the end of the day, Wotte/Gullit failed. Miserably.

Fair enough, but that's the view of a passionate fan It's not always that simple Ask Coventry fans what they think of WGS - they thought he was useless Ask Stoke fans what they think of Delap - we hated him
Give it to Ron Posted 29 May, 2009 Posted 29 May, 2009 Fair enough, but that's the view of a passionate fan It's not always that simple Ask Coventry fans what they think of WGS - they thought he was useless Ask Stoke fans what they think of Delap - we hated him I agree some managers fit in at places like Redkrapp at Pompey but this was not just the views of one fan. http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/football-league/dutch-manager-lined-up-by-saints-520362.html I am just really emphasising my view that Wotte would struggle to get another job in England or Holland. I acknowledge your views as thats what football is all about but for me he is not what we need here next season.
Toomer Posted 29 May, 2009 Posted 29 May, 2009 I have been told by a work mate who's son in law works in the megastore that every one is going to be paid Monday.
Amesbury Saint Posted 29 May, 2009 Posted 29 May, 2009 I have been told by a work mate who's son in law works in the megastore that every one is going to be paid Monday. good news we often focus on the players but there will be a lot of people at SMS earning modest incomes. Perhaps there should be an article on the OS about the back office staff pleased that a deal is nearly done.
doggface Posted 29 May, 2009 Posted 29 May, 2009 what great commitment kelvin davies displays. Last season he was by & large superb, if only they all had his attitude we would not be in this mess in the first place. He needs to be the first signing.
Secret Site Agent Posted 30 May, 2009 Posted 30 May, 2009 Crikey - do you have any theories about who really killed JFK? I do. It was Rupert Lowe on the Grassy Knoll.
