hypochondriac Posted 29 May, 2009 Posted 29 May, 2009 That staff can now be paid. I think I'm pleased about that most of all.

trousers Posted 29 May, 2009 Posted 29 May, 2009 That staff can now be paid. I think I'm pleased about that most of all. Does that mean the players too? Isn't there now an interesting 24 hour 'loophole' whereby our players became (in theory) free agents due to not being able to pay them yesterday?
RobM Posted 29 May, 2009 Posted 29 May, 2009 Just posted the same sort of thing in the sticky thread on this... I'm delighted for the staff that they will now get paid. Let's just hope priority goes to the working staff before the playing staff.
Under Weststand Posted 29 May, 2009 Posted 29 May, 2009 Just got in from the pub & seen this on sky sports news, Its great news for the staff at Saint Mary's I really pleased for them.

No - the players have to give the club written notice of a breach if the salary is not paid within 7 days of the contractual due date and the club has a further 21 days to rectify the situation.
SaintBobby Posted 29 May, 2009 Posted 29 May, 2009 The SMS staff have been - in my experience - absolutely fantastic, from management (like David Luker) through to semi-volunteers. After some bad news for them all, yesterday, I'm totally chuffed for them. We ain't out of the woods, but there's some degree of hope now. I love this club, but the first thing to get right is treating our employees well. Truth is - in very specific terms - I'm presently £400 better off in virtue of not renewing my ST. Much respect to the staff who have had to worry about not paying their mortgages. I think this will turn out well now. But when/if it does, let's pay tribute to the people working at St. Mary's who have shown a loyalty and professionalism under fire that is well beyond the call of duty. Unsung heroes of my beloved club....I salute you.
