beatlesaint Posted 15 June, 2009 Share Posted 15 June, 2009 When all the information has been checked (final due diligence) all will be put to the Principal by Pinnacle for a final decision whether to proceed or not with the purchase. Well that sounds scary...............i assumed the decision to purchase had already been made !!!

Not sure he has any ulterior motive If you think that you dont know Weston. He is as open and honest as they come - and merely advocated giving Whacko the benefit of the doubt - because he likes to see the best in folk.. nothing more sinister than that. gordonToo Posted 15 June, 2009 Share Posted 15 June, 2009 If Due Diligence shows no surprises then the deal should still be on. If, on the other hand, a Lowe poison pill is discovered hidden inside the books then the Principal may decide to walk away. That's what DD is all about. Matthew Le God Posted 15 June, 2009 Share Posted 15 June, 2009 If we were to interest Paul Ince at a League One level it is a great sign of the level of investment to come in order to tempt him here. Personally I think he'd be great for us. I know alot on here hold something against him but he'd get us moving upwards quickly. Saint Fan CaM Posted 15 June, 2009 Share Posted 15 June, 2009 Key point - has there ever been any 'issues' or celeb type contact between MLT and Ince in the past? Will there be a meeting of the minds (5 year plan to the Prem might be a good start!)? If so and its sustainable, then I can see no reason why Ince might not be a superb appointment actually. He was on course to achieve with the Dons what Pearson did at Leicester but without the money and that is the biggest issue with him - will he turn his back on the club the moment a bigger offer comes in, or will he stay the course? This is something even Pinnacle will not be able to answer, but if they've got a good strategy it will include indemnity against the manager being poached if he's getting results. EBS1980 Posted 15 June, 2009 Share Posted 15 June, 2009 So Paul Ince did well at L2 Macclesfield and L2 MK Dons and got his chance with Blackburn and it didn't work out. So in my opinion will have a point to prove wherever he goes next. He will want to prove to the doubters that he can manage and Blackburn was just a blip. Could do worse than Ince IMO, an ambitious manager with a point to prove, sounds good to me.

Carlos Fandango Posted 15 June, 2009 Share Posted 15 June, 2009 Keegan was at MLT's house today and that is from the same person who confirmed the JR link to me a few weeks ago. There is evidence to prove the MLT/KK link. I don't like posting rumours but this one has, in my opinion, a credible source. I suppose it doesn't mean necessarily that Keegan will be joining us, there could be a million reasons for him to be there. Not sure if I'm 100% sure Keegan would be the right man for us in our position but at least it would (SHOULD) put bums on seats.
Badger Posted 15 June, 2009 Share Posted 15 June, 2009 Tisdale ?? FFS You are having a giraffe No.Tisdale has a track record of success - promotions to be precise -at clubs with limited or no resources. Ince on the other hand is a charlatan.Sorry, can't think of an idiotic current phrase, idiom, or rhyming slang word to match your effort. He invented his own 'image' as 'guv'nor but went missing when men of true leadership were needed in a penalty shoot out. His management career is based on Ray Mathias who knows the lower leagues at both Macclesfield and MK ( where the team was built by Martin Allen). Long term, Tisdale has more to offer than most other candidates imho.

MLT has no direct connections to Saints, as of now, until the takeover happens! he can speak to anyone he likes, can't he, and noone can say he's poaching a manager because MLT has no job...so to speak. He can chat "informally" and make sure that the person they want is ameniable (sp?) and be ready to get the ball rolling on Thursday/Friday when he finally becomes chairman etc. Or am I just being pedantic?
