does anyone know who apart from MLT is the money behind this.I think it was Doggface who said the plans were exciting.

Yep, now this is what we all want to know. :p

If this goes through, a few people will have to apologise for doubting Pinnacle.

It was only a couple of days ago that supporters of another bid were claiming Pinnacle had walked, and slagging them off for being amateurs.

Potentially we have turned a corner !

I hope and pray that this is the catalyst that suddenly improves our fortunes and moves the club forward after 5 years of sh1t and mediocrity !

This is fantastic news but does not imply any change on the pitch unless they are prepared to throw wonga at the club. Just great to still have a club to support!

I knew something positive was about to happen as soon as the administrator asked the staff to hold off on the wages, but expected Paddy to turn up at the door.

Hopefully with full creditor agreement we only have the -10 to contend with, far better than expected.

Thank god for that. Now let's get a wealthy owner to take over from them. ;)

Well, in that Echo article is says that Pinnacle have been negotiating on behalf of "a wealthy investor" , so your hope may be coming true already!

Apparently the whole "consortium" thing is for show, with Lynam, MLT, and whoever else may be involved there as front men, negotiators, facilitators, and such, but there is one seriously wealthy figure behind it all putting up the dosh.

Cue the speculation as to who this is.

First guess: could it finally be Gavyn Davies putting his money where his mouth ("I won't let SFC die") is?

21 day of real worry starts now IMHO.

If Pinnacle dont pull it off, there is NO time for someone else to come in.

Oh **** off. It's going to go through, it must and will go through.

keen to know how much this non-refundable deposit was. wonder if it was like the old fizzy pop bottles.

I read somwhere that he supposedly had a "net worth" in excess of 100million. I would have thought that, if true, would be plenty.

Interesting that the deal is for SLH and not just the club.

Sorry to be a pedant but I read it that they are acquiring the assets of SLH including SFC. I assume this means stadium, Staplewood, Jacksons Frm etc etc and leaves debt behind.

I hope the Pin bit of Pinnacle is Pini Zahavi

The 'le' bit at the end is of course our Matt

No idea who nac is.

The Nac Mac Feegles (also known as Pictsies, the Wee Free Men, the Little Men, 'Person or Persons Unknown, Believed to be Armed', and occasionally 'The Defendants') are a type of fairy appearing in Terry Pratchett's Discworld novels

could the Swiss joined in with Pinnacle .

That is what I was sort of hinting at.....anyone confirm this? i.e. For 'Pinnacle' read 'front men for rich swiss geezer(s)'....???

Yes, but lets calm down a bit. Nobody is going to throw a fraction of that amount at SFC unless they are complete lunatics. I would imagine it has taken this long to conclude because the plan (and the finances to achieve the plan) are very tight. We don't want to end up back in this position ever again, so lets hope they are prudent people, spending wisely so we have a solid basis for progression back up the leagues.

Plus we'll need more than that to bid for Kaka !!!!!

This!

Hopefully there are no irregularities and it's a straightforward exchange. this by no means means we're out the poop yet but it's definately some positive news that've been waiting for.

Thank God, and well done to Tony Lynam & his people who know doubt have been under extreme stress the past few weeks.

Now finish the job and get Fry out of SMS as fast as possible, not just so you can build the squad but for all the other pain he no doubt caused you guys

What exactly is MLTs role in this,

Pinnacle only just won the bidding race by a nose apparently.

Therein lies your answer Hatch
