By the way Roger Salvetti's company sponsors Portmouth FC so this rumour is a load of rubbish/wind up

In connection with the post from Paris:

From BBC606 >>

Baloise Holding is a Swiss insurance holding company. It employs over 7000 employees across europe. It generates just under 10 billion pounds worth of revenue and its average profit margin is just under 1 billion pounds.

Martin Strobel the CEO expressed an interest into domestic football but was recommended to look abroad to foregin leagues for the best potential. Although the company is capable of funding a premier league club the CFO, German Egloff , was introduced to the football league and regarded clubs such as Saints, Coventry and Derby as having the right set-up to produce a reasonable amount of profit year after year without requiring millions of pounds to be pumped into the club. So Martin Strobel gave the green light along with the rest of the board to declare an interest in saints now that the right opportunity has arisen. Roger Salvetti, the UK embassador for Baloise, has formed a team of British legal personnel to work alongside their own accountants in order to enter negotiations with Mark Fry and produce a good deal. Roger Salvetti considers Southampton, as well as much of the South Coast, to have the best financial district outside of London due to its history and the companies already based there.

So, it seems we could well be under Swiss protection very soon!!

of course I dont easily turn my back on it when things are tough so you wouldnt understand. That is not a dig just a truism by the way.

nick, I couldn't be bothered with the whole post, as, in the main, like many of yours, it was badly written and ill thought out. However, the bit I did pull down (in Red). Having become an avid reader of yours, to state that you don't easily turn your back on things when they get tough.....lol....just read yesterday's contributions. As for your dig at me, you don't know me well enough to make that bold statement. If you'd like to pm me, I will gladly enlighten you as to how far from the mark you are.

Hello I must be going? Will the groundsman be happy with our Swiss connection - apparently he's 'just a lawnmower you can tell by the way he walks'.

Does anyone have pics of Chortles Chorley's daughter?

I miss his posts on here. They always started by saying he saw a poster's mum down the town, then put the SFC world to rights. When anyone questioned him he would lose his rag, imply violence and then give out his mobile number. If anyone posted a serious question he would cunningly dodge it by saying he had to take his girl friend to the hairdressers.

This forum is a duller place without him.....

I can confirm she is worthy of much fappage.

Sulaiman Al Fahim's latest deal has truned the spotlight on Falcon, of which he is the non-executive chairman Photograph: ENAQ/EPA

Portsmouth fans will be dreaming of bids for Kaka but so far the biggest winner in Sulaiman Al-Fahim's latest involvement in Premier League football is Falcon Equity Partners, a Jersey and Switzerland-based investment fund.

Um!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I pointed that out ages ago, post 184. I figured MB's machine gun pic was him admitting to being part of the wind-up.

Just ignore him Nick. Gingeletiss, I don't know why you don't just skip Nick's posts, he has asked you to put him on ignore enough times.

its Ok Hypo, Ginge is amusing I like his sense of humour. He like WSS are out to try and pick holes or discredit me, we both know that is the game on here. I can cope, and to be fair I give it back. I would put them on ignore but I might miss the day they put up an original thought not just a swipe at posts they dont like.

I'm not out to pick holes in you per se, just all you ITK guys that post rumours and things you'd like to happen as FACT, which eventually turn out to have more holes than a packet of Polos.

If you put yourself out there in the Limelight, you can expect a few people to disagree with you.

Chortle chortle. I actually do not know how to put someone on "ignore" - but when I do you'll be a good test :-) Just joking ;-)

That is quite worrying actually. Surely this good news won't be soured by the FL not allowing a single individual to be involved in more than one club. And then, he pulls out of Saints deal and sticks with poopey!

Secondly, what if a 'business opportunity' has been identified here, 2 for the price of one. Combine the 2 teams and double your money and supporters, whilst halving your outlay, next step:

Southmouth FC

or

Porthampton United!
