Southampton administrator Mark Fry has confirmed that a 'number of parties' are at a late stage with regards to the purchase of the club. SSN also understand that one of the interested parties are from Switzerland. Make of that what you will!

Thought it might be a good idea to start a new thread as the other one has got too many pages to keep up-to-date with the latest goings on, or lack of, as the case may be!

Nothing about being taken over. Simply that a number of parties in late stages of negotiations, also saying there is Swiss interest.

Buying a football club is very much like making love to a beautiful woman. It takes 60 days to pluke up the courage to make an offer.
"Puke" or "Pluck" ??

Looking at the Skates wasn't he.

Was rumoured to have expressed an interest a while back on here too if I remember rightly. Bit worrying that his bid for P*mpey was laughed at and deemed totally unacceptable though. Mind you, we're hardly in a position to pick and choose our new potential owners.

You mean they are "Watching" us ... ???

This rumour has more holes than swiss cheese. The hands of time are ticking on.

If anyone thinks this is going to happen, you're going Cuckoo.

Buying a football club is a bit like making love to a beautiful women. First you need to convince her that your 'tank' is full and you have 'juice' to meet her needs...then....

Can the mods save us all a lot of time and just copy the other thread and scan and replace "Irish" with "Swiss" - then close it. Save's everyone getting their hopes up over sweet FA.

Stop making racist comments about the Swiss please. You'll upset them and they'll pull out.

It doesn't take much to upset them,I know a guy who has a restaurant, put down "gruyere" as an ingredient of something or other on the menu and as always used plain old common or garden emmenthal, same as everyone else. The swiss cheese police came round and whacked a lawsuit on him for taking the name of their AOC national product in vain. Cost him 900 euros in the end.

"Don't be so gloomy. After all it's not that awful. Like the fella says, in Italy for 30 years under the Borgias they had warfare, terror, murder, and bloodshed, but they produced Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci, and the Renaissance. In Switzerland they had brotherly love - they had 500 years of democracy and peace, and what did that produce? The cuckoo clock."
