JustMike Posted 29 May, 2009 Posted 29 May, 2009 Its Friday and we are being taken over by some Swiss guys, on Sky now. really???? oooo mystery overseas bidders?
Bailey Posted 29 May, 2009 Posted 29 May, 2009 Southampton administrator Mark Fry has confirmed that a 'number of parties' are at a late stage with regards to the purchase of the club. SSN also understand that one of the interested parties are from Switzerland. Make of that what you will! Thought it might be a good idea to start a new thread as the other one has got too many pages to keep up-to-date with the latest goings on, or lack of, as the case may be!
Ludwig Posted 29 May, 2009 Posted 29 May, 2009 Nothing about being taken over. Simply that a number of parties in late stages of negotiations, also saying there is Swiss interest.
Noodles34 Posted 29 May, 2009 Author Posted 29 May, 2009 New thread.....................told you;) ???

SO16_Saint Posted 29 May, 2009 Posted 29 May, 2009 "late stages of negotiations with a number of parties"
Gingeletiss Posted 29 May, 2009 Posted 29 May, 2009 ??? Reported on Irish eyes thread.................knew it would generate a new thread.
Matthew Le God Posted 29 May, 2009 Posted 29 May, 2009 (edited) Buying a football club is very much like making love to a beautiful woman. It takes 60 days to pluck up the courage to make an offer. Edited 29 May, 2009 by Matthew Le God
kpturner Posted 29 May, 2009 Posted 29 May, 2009 Buying a football club is very much like making love to a beautiful woman. It takes 60 days to pluke up the courage to make an offer."Puke" or "Pluck" ??
Bailey Posted 29 May, 2009 Posted 29 May, 2009 Ramon Vega Looking at the Skates wasn't he. Was rumoured to have expressed an interest a while back on here too if I remember rightly. Bit worrying that his bid for P*mpey was laughed at and deemed totally unacceptable though. Mind you, we're hardly in a position to pick and choose our new potential owners.
SaintRichmond Posted 29 May, 2009 Posted 29 May, 2009 Nothing about being taken over. Simply that a number of parties in late stages of negotiations' date=' also saying [b']there is Swiss interest[/b]. You mean they are "Watching" us ... ???
ladysaint Posted 29 May, 2009 Posted 29 May, 2009 Does that mean we will be yodelling instead of singing.
Matthew Le God Posted 29 May, 2009 Posted 29 May, 2009 "Puke" or "Pluck" ?? A little from column A and a little from column B
Gingeletiss Posted 29 May, 2009 Posted 29 May, 2009 Geneva know coat......... Snow joke you know!!!!!
SO16_Saint Posted 29 May, 2009 Posted 29 May, 2009 You mean they are "Watching" us ... ??? This rumour has more holes than swiss cheese. The hands of time are ticking on. If anyone thinks this is going to happen, you're going Cuckoo.
bridge too far Posted 29 May, 2009 Posted 29 May, 2009 Are they going to Basle us out? Oh I'm on a roll now
Saints67 Posted 29 May, 2009 Posted 29 May, 2009 Are they going to Basle us out? Oh I'm on a roll now A Swiss one obviously!
niceandfriendly Posted 29 May, 2009 Posted 29 May, 2009 It's pretty much what we heard yesterday, there's nothing in there about "being taken over today". Perhaps the addition to the news is the word "late" in "late stages of negotiations"?
Dibden Purlieu Saint Posted 29 May, 2009 Posted 29 May, 2009 buying a football club is like making love to a beautiful woman :-) What, sh it?
Scummer Posted 29 May, 2009 Posted 29 May, 2009 Stop making racist comments about the Swiss please. You'll upset them and they'll pull out.
Frank's cousin Posted 29 May, 2009 Posted 29 May, 2009 "Puke" or "Pluck" ?? Buying a football club is a bit like making love to a beautiful women. First you need to convince her that your 'tank' is full and you have 'juice' to meet her needs...then....
Matthew Le God Posted 29 May, 2009 Posted 29 May, 2009 I hope its this guy http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ernesto_Bertarelli

kpturner Posted 29 May, 2009 Posted 29 May, 2009 Can the mods save us all a lot of time and just copy the other thread and scan and replace "Irish" with "Swiss" - then close it. Save's everyone getting their hopes up over sweet FA.
SaintRichmond Posted 29 May, 2009 Posted 29 May, 2009 Could explain where the "missing" £40M went ....????
Giamlarrahan Posted 29 May, 2009 Posted 29 May, 2009 Well atleast we wont roll over so easily next season. *leaves.*
Nexstar Posted 29 May, 2009 Posted 29 May, 2009 nothing on the Echo site... No way! I expect the BBC to have it up within the next 2 hours, then the echo around 8pm tonight.
Frank's cousin Posted 29 May, 2009 Posted 29 May, 2009 I hope its this guy http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ernesto_Bertarelli H'ell do... should we write him and email, or will it put him off?
Window Cleaner Posted 29 May, 2009 Posted 29 May, 2009 Stop making racist comments about the Swiss please. You'll upset them and they'll pull out. It doesn't take much to upset them,I know a guy who has a restaurant, put down "gruyere" as an ingredient of something or other on the menu and as always used plain old common or garden emmenthal, same as everyone else. The swiss cheese police came round and whacked a lawsuit on him for taking the name of their AOC national product in vain. Cost him 900 euros in the end.
FloridaMarlin Posted 29 May, 2009 Posted 29 May, 2009 "Don't be so gloomy. After all it's not that awful. Like the fella says, in Italy for 30 years under the Borgias they had warfare, terror, murder, and bloodshed, but they produced Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci, and the Renaissance. In Switzerland they had brotherly love - they had 500 years of democracy and peace, and what did that produce? The cuckoo clock." Harry Lime.
SP Saint Posted 29 May, 2009 Posted 29 May, 2009 I don't think I'll bother coming back to this thread. Time to lock it Pancake.
