OldNick Posted 29 May, 2009 Share Posted 29 May, 2009 I watched the documentary last night on the Beeb. It was a programme that you couldnt help but find really funny but also very sad. I really couldnt help but laugh when the man took his dog for a walk and couldnt help but tell his dog to cross even though the traffic was coming.Fortunately the dog just seemed to know it was not the proper command and waited. A programme of laughter and tears
bridge too far Posted 29 May, 2009 Share Posted 29 May, 2009 I watched that too. It was very sad when he said he wanted to get married and have children but that he realised that was very unlikely. I thought he was inspirational and it was good to see a sympathetic take on the condition instead of the sensationalist stuff usually seen. I believe there's a very talented piano player who is symptom free when he's playing (a bit like the younger lad with his drums).

I agree with BTF on this, the lad under tremendous pressure has made something of his life.I like most like to take the #### but at the same time cant help feel humbled by people like that who actually make a life.
