SB Posted 28 May, 2009 Share Posted 28 May, 2009 Does anyone else get the impression that all four consortiums / groups financial status is Litter and once taken over couldn’t afford to build for promotion let alone premiership status?
Ponty Posted 28 May, 2009 Share Posted 28 May, 2009 Thanks for that Pancake. I shall sleep easy tonight, safe in the knowledge that our Mods are busy fiddling whilst Rome burns. You tell him! Pancake, stop fannying around here and get down to SMS asap.
Weston Super Saint Posted 28 May, 2009 Share Posted 28 May, 2009 Club should have stopped paying the players months ago and saved that for key staff to run the club then sold the players at the end of the season. Priorities all in the wrong place. few players are due to be sold so that should go towards the staff (not players) then if we go into non leaque at least we can operate as players can be found anywhere and all the big/mid wage players will have to go anyway. What a shambles LOL. What happens if we sell all the players, get a buyer - although how with no players is beyond me - then start in League 1 with no team Not sure you've thought this one all the way through
trousers Posted 28 May, 2009 Share Posted 28 May, 2009 Begbies Traynor take their money way before the end. They get theirs directly from SLH's Barclays bank account before any other creditor gets a penny. The order will be something like...Begbies Traynor, employees, HMRC, preferred creditors, ordinary creditors and then if there's any left, chuckle, chuckle, the shareholders. The end is not administration but liquidation and that may happen first, if all we've got is two Irish bullsh !tters and a lardass dreamer. I'm sure Clapham will be on soon to correct this and defend Mr. Fry. I happen to think Fry and his ilk are bottom feeders and his company will be dipping their sticky fingers deep into the buckets that the fans were working hard to fill for this very eventuality.... Who regulates the Administrator to ensure they are being efficient and not dragging thinngs out to their own advantage? (I am, of course, not suggesting for one minute that Begbies Traynor are anything but doing things by the book. I'm just interested in principle)

I'm sure the Administrator is obliged to report to the Creditors on a regular basis.
ITKSaint Posted 29 May, 2009 Share Posted 29 May, 2009 Does anyone else get the impression that all four consortiums / groups financial status is Litter and once taken over couldn’t afford to build for promotion let alone premiership status? I think we're well beyond that hope now. Survival at all is the new 'Premiership'.
Master Bates Posted 29 May, 2009 Share Posted 29 May, 2009 (edited) In today's Echo, just an update from yesterday, nothing new http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/4404678.St_Mary_s_staff_go_without_pay/ Players wages I asked the players to be patient for a couple of days and hopefully we’ll have better news on Monday. http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/saints/news/4404679.Wotte__players_patient_over_wages/ Edited 29 May, 2009 by Master Bates

Know what I think? I think Lowe was actually afraid to sell Surman,Lallana and Dyer for about a million all up, he was afraid of the backlash from the fans, the mob ruled and now we're even deeper in the brown. I dont think RL had any thought that Barclays would pull the plug when they did.To save his money I doubt he would have any second thoughts to sell to keep them. He was used to fans backlash and so I dont think that would faze him. I still believe that something made them pull the plug when they did, but it was madness to me as they surely wounded us so severely by doing it at that precise time.
