some unhappy saints staff

I think what some are trying to say Jan is that there may not of been an Irish bid or that they never actually exist or even have the 500k to put on the table.
A false story fed to the media by Fry to try and drive up the price.

Maybe the creditors have put 'appearance' clauses in the contracts

Buy the club for C£14m now in L1

Give us another C£5M when you get back to the CCC and if you make it to the land of Milk and Honey we want another C£15M

That would certainly register quite high on the 'unreasonable-o-meter' !

Anyone got a wheat and chaff detector so we know which posts we need to 'pay attention to' and which we can dismiss as hearsay? cheers

Simples...treat them all the same and only believe what you hear from Fry himself. Not that doing it is easy as we all need the ITK fix.

I should imagine this would massively **** anyone involved in a takeover enough to walk away and not deal with certain individuals, if that is the case then what an almighty **** up.

more like a false story fed to the media by people on this messageboard, for whatever reason i don't know.

If Peter Storrie is relieved of duties down the road he could certainly do a job here, that man CAN sell shyte to the arabs.

As for Saints, I never believed MJ consortium was serious, an educated guess said MLT consortium never had the dosh and the Irish story was utter bullshine.

Things smell bad.

How did the share price get to 65p when Paul Allen was "interested" in April/May 2007?

That wasn't fed from somone trying to sell the club though, such as Mark Fry. Which major shareholders did you see selling their shares at 65p per share? None. If Fry sells the club on the back of made up interest leaked by himself, then that would be MASSIVE fraud. It just wouldn't happen.

Of course they mell bad, they have done since we went into admin. That anyone in their right mind wanted this is beyond me.

Another week to wait then. At this rate, we won't find anything out for another couple of decades.

I was pretty sure a few people said that when we first went into administration, 6-7 weeks ago, that we had 24 days to find a buyer? I don't believe anything, anyone related with the club says anymore, until the proof is in the pudding.

And the puddings proved they could not play last season:rolleyes:

yes that could be the case.I dont understand why fans are on Fry's side he is the one who is driving the deal one way or other. He is not saving us he is about to divide and get rid of us.Excuse me if i dont lie down and worship him for it.

He has played the waiting game expecting a big offer to come in, that is his choice but it looks as he will come very short for the very people he is working for.I doubt his reputation is enhanced.

Sorry Nick this seems to sum up the idiocy of this whole thread ... Mark Fry won't lose any sleep if we go into liquidation. Being "on Frys side" what a silly petulant comment, I assume you mean on his side in that we all want him to sell the club!? Lets face it hes the only "side" we can be on!

So the Echo got there before nickh got his call. We have not been wound up (except by this thread possibly) and he has set a date for another meeting with the staff next Friday!! Can't wait for another week of speculation and stress.

So the Echo recognises there are now four parties still interested.

Don`t make any light-hearted posts in that time though. This is serious.

what do we mean by parties being "interested"

is it a kind of interest that means they are desperately scraping their piggy banks - searching under the sofa for any money they can possibly find so that they can do it as quick as possible?

if the deals were any good, then surely these 4 interested parties would be more than interested.

Then what was CRouch on about SFC not being in Admin 'cos we payin oi bills' ?

Probably the same kind of shoite he was talking when he said that we deliberately set up the club structure so we couldn't be penalised by the FL if the PLC went into admin, I should think. Even though the structure pre-dated the Admin rules by eight or nine years...

Nick,

I'm sure there will be even more twists and turns coming over the next week, certainly with four parties still out there, as the Echo reports.

We certainly need to pace ourselves on this one, it doesn't appear to be a quick sprint by any means.

Anyone else read the OS headline "Pick up a piece of Saints History" along with the image of the '76 team and think "that's it we're being wound up and are having a closing down sale - including the contents of the trophy cabinet"

I wouldn't like to alarm anyone, but when Newport County went thud they did indeed have an auction of all of the fittings and fixtures and paraphernalia owned by the club.

Having said that, they didn't do so until some months after the club had been liquidated, and it was run by the Administrator (which was Touche Ross in 1989), not the club itself.

 I can't make out if you are being a patronising ******-taker or making a serious observation? I think that the last (gawd knows how many) few days of speculation has long since proved that it is not a sprint.

Not only that, but contrary to the fred title, maybe the staff might not be unhappy ;)

Regards,

WSS.

some of the staff were very upset when the funds did not arrive and then their DD's not paid and returned.Iexpect the poor sods have no choice but shrug their shoulders and hope for the best.

The 4 parties is an interesting quote.

I doubt Fry is holding back for a week to help them though but perhaps to get a few more quid for his creditors.

I think fry started off pretty well - put himself across in the right way and said the right things....but in the last couple of weeks he is seriously getting on my nerves.

within 48 hours....no 24 hours...no sorry, 1 more week.

this has all been said in the public domain too, i.e. announcements to South Today /BBC Radio Solent/Daily Echo

what the hell is he doing? is he trying to drive us saints fans even more up the wall than we already are? Surely in the position he is in, he should not be making time sensitive announcements until he is 110% sure we will hear something? It’s making him look like a prize idiot unfortunately.

look at Portsmouth, take over interest announced on Sunday, bid accepted Tuesday, due diligence started wednesday - all came to the surface within a week - that's how it should be done, it pains me to say.

No but I suggest that time is a problem as there is a time when the league will want to know our situation pre the fixtures, also us getting out of administration with a CVA so we dont get docked more points.
