Delmary Posted 28 May, 2009 Share Posted 28 May, 2009 I think what some are trying to say Jan is that there may not of been an Irish bid or that they never actually exist or even have the 500k to put on the table.A false story fed to the media by Fry to try and drive up the price. trousers Posted 28 May, 2009 Share Posted 28 May, 2009 Maybe the creditors have put 'appearance' clauses in the contracts Buy the club for C£14m now in L1 Give us another C£5M when you get back to the CCC and if you make it to the land of Milk and Honey we want another C£15M That would certainly register quite high on the 'unreasonable-o-meter' ! If Peter Storrie is relieved of duties down the road he could certainly do a job here, that man CAN sell shyte to the arabs. That wasn't fed from somone trying to sell the club though, such as Mark Fry. Which major shareholders did you see selling their shares at 65p per share? None. If Fry sells the club on the back of made up interest leaked by himself, then that would be MASSIVE fraud. It just wouldn't happen.

Stu Man Do Posted 28 May, 2009 Share Posted 28 May, 2009 yes that could be the case.I dont understand why fans are on Fry's side he is the one who is driving the deal one way or other. He is not saving us he is about to divide and get rid of us.Excuse me if i dont lie down and worship him for it. He has played the waiting game expecting a big offer to come in, that is his choice but it looks as he will come very short for the very people he is working for.I doubt his reputation is enhanced. Sorry Nick this seems to sum up the idiocy of this whole thread ... Mark Fry won't lose any sleep if we go into liquidation. Being "on Frys side" what a silly petulant comment, I assume you mean on his side in that we all want him to sell the club!? Lets face it hes the only "side" we can be on! brightspark Posted 28 May, 2009 Share Posted 28 May, 2009 what do we mean by parties being "interested" is it a kind of interest that means they are desperately scraping their piggy banks - searching under the sofa for any money they can possibly find so that they can do it as quick as possible? if the deals were any good, then surely these 4 interested parties would be more than interested. The9 Posted 28 May, 2009 Share Posted 28 May, 2009 Then what was CRouch on about SFC not being in Admin 'cos we payin oi bills' ? Probably the same kind of shoite he was talking when he said that we deliberately set up the club structure so we couldn't be penalised by the FL if the PLC went into admin, I should think. The9 Posted 28 May, 2009 Share Posted 28 May, 2009 Anyone else read the OS headline "Pick up a piece of Saints History" along with the image of the '76 team and think "that's it we're being wound up and are having a closing down sale - including the contents of the trophy cabinet" I wouldn't like to alarm anyone, but when Newport County went thud they did indeed have an auction of all of the fittings and fixtures and paraphernalia owned by the club. Having said that, they didn't do so until some months after the club had been liquidated, and it was run by the Administrator (which was Touche Ross in 1989), not the club itself. S-Clarke Posted 28 May, 2009 Share Posted 28 May, 2009 I think fry started off pretty well - put himself across in the right way and said the right things....but in the last couple of weeks he is seriously getting on my nerves. within 48 hours....no 24 hours...no sorry, 1 more week. this has all been said in the public domain too, i.e. announcements to South Today /BBC Radio Solent/Daily Echo what the hell is he doing? is he trying to drive us saints fans even more up the wall than we already are? Surely in the position he is in, he should not be making time sensitive announcements until he is 110% sure we will hear something? It’s making him look like a prize idiot unfortunately. look at Portsmouth, take over interest announced on Sunday, bid accepted Tuesday, due diligence started wednesday - all came to the surface within a week - that's how it should be done, it pains me to say.
