some unhappy saints staff

Hopefully it will be to inform the staff that the takeover is now here and a promise all wages will be paid in full....More prayers required.

I do hope so, but for the first time I really feel it is gone, no leaks have come out that indeed we have been saved and of course Fry has to announce to the staff first.

My fear is that the financial institutional creditors would rather see us go out of business to set an example to other poorly run clubs.

The biggest irony in that statement being that until relegation from teh prem we were held as a first class example to other clubs of how a club should be run financially as we were one of only a handful that 'lived within our means' - the loss of the SKY money fecked us because despite teh relegation clauses in contracts, unless promoted these were still going to be unsustainable after the loss of the parachute - which did not cover them anyway which is wher the Walcot/Jones money went - Wilde made his promse so money was spent that we did not have which obviously added to the problems when not promoted, BUT the real issue is that the FA/FL let this happen the moment they let teh prem clubs go and that financial gap start to grow... and we were part of that process so have to take part of that blame...

So, the staff are being called in to a meeting at 12.00pm today.

And some of you here 'expect' to have found out what was said in the meeting BEFORE it even happened!!!

Dont be daft WSS. Leaks of whether somebody has in fact got an agreement in place or not.

I wonder if any of the staff post on here or know somebody that does. Presumably Nickh got this info from somewhere and not from his tea leaves.

Redondo.....About six or seven wanted admin and did the real Saints fans amongst them really mean it...

Admin was always on the cards regardless of a few stayaway fans..... It is a really silly argument to blame a few posters for making admin a means of wanting Rupert gone.

Hoping and praying we are bought out and all staff paid up to date today.

I'm assuming that Nick's 'source' is a member of staff.

I still can't work out why he is so upset that his source hasn't given him any info BEFORE they've attended the meeting!!

FWIW one of my employees has a brother in law that works at SMS and they were called in to a meeting on Tuesday. I guess they discussed a new way of working or something, because they certainly didn't discuss buyers of the club ;)

Seems like there may be some good points in there - I just couldn't understand any of it. Translation please.

I am glad you think there were some good points....enjoy those and don't worry about what you could not understand....;-)

Translation.......We are in the SCHITT and maybe we are really in DEEP SCHITT...even.

I expect to hear a summary. Im not sure I want to.
Of course you want to. Sad thing is that I was chucking money around at Save our Saints under the naive assumption that the money raised would avoid something like this. I guess the timing was just not right.

This is very sad.

But unfortunately not unexpected. Many of us fans became became very clever in our statements about not wanting to pay the players wages and forgot about the 100+ other employees.

I repeat what I said yesterday on numerous occassions.

I am VERY worried

it is not a day for those arguements. I will hold my counsel on this occasion.I feel pretty worried. If we dont hear very soon, the club is gone. I expected a small leak of good news by now but nothing.

ITK.........not ITK.......ITK........not ITK.....Make your mind up. Have you no more 'secrets' you are sworn not to share, or as others on here, just a 'look at me' type of personality??

How long is the meeting scheduled to last? Thanks

It was scheduled to start at 09:30 this morning.

It was planned to make one of two announcements.

It was delayed until 12:00

But not to worry, we were too busy making stupid jokes about spelling and stuff to notice that something was very wrong yesterday

I don't think everyone was...many people were reading your warnings and when I heard that nothing was being announced after all yesterday that set warning bells for me.

I think we are stuffed. Great day yesterday skates get a rich sheik, Hants lose by 1 run and our alleged buyers cannot come up with the cash and seal the deal.

How do you know? I was interested to read in todays Echo article that the Irish bidders had alledgedly pulled out yesterday, but then alluded to them changing their minds. Whatever happened yesterday, surely it would have been too late to have an impact on the wages today?

Question > is our place in League One DIRECTLY under threat from the results of todays meeting?
If the meeting is to say that SFC has been wound up then what do you think? Who knows, maybe it is just to tell them that they are changing their coffee supplier.

The problem is that none of us can influence the outcome of this mess in any way shape or form. I am not going to stress out about something I that I have no control over. It is a British trait to joke in the face of adversity rather than pulling our hair out and wringing our hands (not at the same time obviously!).

Thanks mate, the last few days have been incredibly stressful, and unfortunately it all comes down to two things have happened

either one Essex Boy/egotistical idiot gambled AGAIN with our club in the last 6 days OR an extremely suspicious course of events.

But your last line is not correct, it is, and always has been, about the terms and conditions and the attitude in which those are negotiated or should I say imposed.

Is this admin / support staff? Are player wages taking precedence over support staff?

They always are as a creditor sadly. I agree with Adrian, its the real staff that suffer the consequences of the last 5 years gross mismanagement. It amazes me that players and other football clubs get total priority. Perhaps if they didn't, it might act as a brake on the most stupid risk-taking and gambling from clubs, players and their agents.

Sorry> I was too busy reading the Echo and the numerous ITK on here that we were being saved by the Irish. Oh and Pinacle were still in with a shout.

How the hell are we "mere mortals " supposed to know something was wrong? Like most on here I follow SSN and I've even started listening to Solent and Radio Hampshire news bulletins on the hour and guess what? Nothing. Nada. Diddlysquat.

So until something DEFINITE comes along, please allow me and the others, some small irreverant fun.

nick no fan really wanted admin...but we were heading that way and the way it was going Rupert never was the saviour.Should have shown humility and joined forces or the like...The absent fans would have been absolutely minimal....We can all blame a lot of different causes...But I repeat Ruperty once his make a sell a player was not working from early meant we was doomed....Even around xmas he had no plan B really and none of his consortium dipped their hands in their own pockets...For a big consortium..Ruperts Mob...very strange.

Not blaming anyone now....But this started back in the old days when we did not even begin paying off the stadium..

Takeover....Let us hope pinacle/Souness/Anderson, Gregg or whoever get it sorted quick....I believe there are skeletons and even some creditors are our old mob...Something wrong that deters prospective buyers and always has been....Maybe we will end up with more train pictures and Pete Watermans miniture (sorry for spellin) railway running around the stadium..would please some.

Crouch money has helped a great deal..possibly players wages...But many staff not paid particularly ancillary staff/part time etc..not April or May YET.:(

Taleover now PLEASE.

How much has Crouch actually given? because from what I am hearing it does not come near the total required. Still generous I accept but the story we keep getting painted by the leaks is nothing like the real thing. Take into account the damage Crouch has caused and he does not even wipe out a fraction of what he has caused.

Hone got directors to sign off upon player acquisitions because the money was not there. Something Crouch strongly denied when he got rid of them. It's ok saying you were against the signing of Euell, but when you agree to it in the end followed by further far higher expenditure, what exactly is the point?

We then have the infamous "turkey required to vote for christmas" on the back of a £2M note. Certainly got the practical aspects to negotiation down to a fine point. Crouch is an idiot, doing more damage than good from what he has given. Have you even bought an ECHO, let alone a ticket at St Mary's?

I am not blaming any posters for our predicament. I only commment that some people are crazy to have wanted admin regardless of RL or anyone else.

Admin is bad news all round.

It was so good getting away from "The Blame Game" for the last few days as well! Oh Dear!:(
