Big_Bald_Si Posted 27 May, 2009 Posted 27 May, 2009 http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/articles/article.php?page_id=11777 Now, call me naive, but what's the point in doing this when we can't buy tickets until our future is secure?
Big_Bald_Si Posted 27 May, 2009 Author Posted 27 May, 2009 Then why not just close it until further notice, leaving recorded messages for anyone that does phone trying to buy tickets?
The9 Posted 27 May, 2009 Posted 27 May, 2009 Then why not just close it until further notice, leaving recorded messages for anyone that does phone trying to buy tickets? "Dear potential customer, thank you for ringing up to buy tickets. Tickets for what exactly ? Please leave a message after the t- CLICK!!!! BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR".
Scummer Posted 27 May, 2009 Posted 27 May, 2009 I would imagine that they've got rid of any casual staff they had. They are now stuck with a bunch of people who they have to pay, but haven't really got any work for them to do. Little point in making them redundant, as they will be needed again in a few weeks. Therefore you bring their hours down to a minimum, which seems to be what they have done.
Block 5 Posted 27 May, 2009 Posted 27 May, 2009 Always wondered what happens to the ticket office staff in close season. Do they get paid still? Are they laid off? Do they do other jobs?
Mole Posted 27 May, 2009 Posted 27 May, 2009 Get them painting. That's what most firms do in lean periods.
