Hatch Posted 27 May, 2009 Posted 27 May, 2009 Quite looking forward to this, has all the makings of a really great final, which probably means it will be Sh!te. I predict Man Utd to win 2-1 after going behind to an early barca goal. Xavi first goal, Man Utd win 2-1 pays 200/1 with Laddies.
sambosa75 Posted 27 May, 2009 Posted 27 May, 2009 My girlfriend has predicted 1-1 after 90 mins, Ronaldo first goal. Barcelona to win on pens. She has no interest in football but her predictions have come good quite a few times this season.

Baj Posted 27 May, 2009 Posted 27 May, 2009 I've just got a feeling one of the sides is going to bottle it, itll be 3-0....to who i dont know
RedAndWhite91 Posted 27 May, 2009 Posted 27 May, 2009 I was thinking 2-1 to United as well. Wouldn't mind Barca winning just to wipe the smugness off Utd's faces.
SuperMikey Posted 27 May, 2009 Posted 27 May, 2009 Barca to win 2-1, Ronaldo to miss a penalty in stoppage time. That would be a real kick in the balls to every United fan in the world..
Andy_Porter Posted 27 May, 2009 Posted 27 May, 2009 I really want Barca to win but I can't see anything other than a 3 or 4 goal winning margain for United. United will just sit back and counter attack, Barca can't do anything other than play to Uniteds strengths and with such a shoddy Barca back 4 United should rip them to pieces. One goal from a corner, one from a Ronaldo free kick and then a couple at the end on the break. Will probably put a few quid on 4-0 later.

Colinjb Posted 27 May, 2009 Posted 27 May, 2009 Game over. United have been awful since Barca got their first in the 9th minute.
saint lard Posted 27 May, 2009 Posted 27 May, 2009 Barca are making united look exceptionally ordinary. Ronaldo, sometimes sublime, sometimes petulant ****.
Leicestersaint Posted 27 May, 2009 Posted 27 May, 2009 MUre are over-hyped and have been outplayed - not as good as they think they are.
Chris Larkin Posted 27 May, 2009 Posted 27 May, 2009 Serves them right for beating us in January. Well done Barca.
Barney Trubble Posted 27 May, 2009 Posted 27 May, 2009 They have been battered, I think Ferguson got his initial team selection wrong and they bottled it when the pressure was really on. Maybe it was Barcelona's year when you think about how lucky they were against Chelsea but they have outplayed Man Utd tonight and fully deserved their victory. In a way, I'm kind of glad as we won't have the mass ****fest of annoying Man U fans swearing their allegiance to Argentina, maybe a bit of humble-pie will do them good. I had to laugh at the losers who were singing 'Argentina, Argentina!' on the pre-match TV build up......I do wonder what sad, little pondlife some Man Utd fans are......on that note, I'm glad they lost. Fergie.....tonight, your boys took a beating and I take my hot off to Barcelona as they were the better side by a country mile. Well done!
Saint Martini Posted 27 May, 2009 Posted 27 May, 2009 Manu have shown that they're still very bad losers. Ronaldo being a **** as usual, Scholes trying to break Busquets leg (how was that not red?!) and Vidic tries to barge right through Messi. Can't say I mind the outcome of this match.
Saint Martini Posted 27 May, 2009 Posted 27 May, 2009 Iniesta Brilliant player A poor mans Schneiderlin.
EastleighSoulBoy Posted 27 May, 2009 Posted 27 May, 2009 Nice to see the Mancs spanked. Deserved win for Barca. The fans will be crying all the way home to Exeter, Taunton, Hemel Hempstead, Gravesend, Billericay, Warwick and the like.

I know several who I will gladly take the p1ss out of, some tonight at work should they dare to turn up.
Arizona Posted 27 May, 2009 Posted 27 May, 2009 @ Ronaldo. I can't imagine the bruises on his ego right now. Losing the CL final AND being completely upstages by Messi in the process. Also looked like even more of a petulant tw*t than usual. I was p*ssed off when his penalty miss in last years shoot out didn't cost Utd the title.
Ponty Posted 27 May, 2009 Posted 27 May, 2009 in english ponteh? Tiresome, boring, felt like it went on forever.
Papa Shango Posted 28 May, 2009 Posted 28 May, 2009 Thought Barcelona would win, but not so comfortably. First 9 minutes aside they completely outclassed United. Iniesta MOTM. So glad Barca won. At least we won't have to hear everyone drone on about how the Premiership is so much better than every other league in the world for a while. (which it isn't imo)
jeff leopard Posted 28 May, 2009 Posted 28 May, 2009 Giggs PLayer of the year. LOL Man U - best squad in the world
OldNick Posted 28 May, 2009 Posted 28 May, 2009 Barcelona should not have been at final, Iniesta should have been banned by the letter of law. The commentator on ITV 'Puyol has a heart of oak he never feigns injury' !!!!!!!!!!
Arizona Posted 28 May, 2009 Posted 28 May, 2009 'The Big Four' have now been losing finalists for the last 4 years. Arsenal in '06, then Liverpool, Chelsea last year and now Man Utd. Must have been heartbreaking for them.
saintwarwick Posted 28 May, 2009 Posted 28 May, 2009 (edited) 'The Big Four' have now been losing finalists for the last 4 years. Arsenal in '06, then Liverpool, Chelsea last year and now Man Utd. Must have been heartbreaking for them. But Chelsea lost to one of 'the big four' so five finalists in four years and Liverpool won it in '05 so that makes it two winners and four runners up in five years, no other country can come anywhere near that record Edited 28 May, 2009 by saintwarwick
Smirking_Saint Posted 28 May, 2009 Posted 28 May, 2009 Got completely outplayed, Utd looked completely clueless and didn't know what to do. Barca got tactics spot on, sit high and soak up the long ball (and put pressure on the passer) thing is though if one of those diagonal balls came off then they would have been in trouble. But, Barca with their so called 'defensive frailties' were far stronger then Utd's unusually sh!te defence. The only time Barca looked really threatened was when Pique moved into Ronaldo's way. Still..... shame, would have been nice to have given michel ***tini something else to moan about.
Andy_Porter Posted 28 May, 2009 Posted 28 May, 2009 Really didn't see that result coming. Iniesta and Xavi really stole the show and made the United midfield look very average. Maybe Fletcher and Hargreaves could have made the difference but I don't think so compated to Barca the United midfield lacked ideas and didn't show any quality on the ball. Pique was brilliant, the best defender on the pitch. I don't understand why SAF sold him for 5m when Sunderland put in a 10m bid for Evans it's looking like he made the wrong decision there. Barca really deserved the win and set the bar for the rest of Europe, probably the best side since United '99.
