Delmary Posted 27 May, 2009 Posted 27 May, 2009 So has anything actually happened today or is this pure speculation again? Is the still going to be an update from fry by the end of the day?I doubt it now.
INFLUENCED.COM Posted 27 May, 2009 Posted 27 May, 2009 The one in the middle fits double glazing......Paddy O'Dors is his name
Big Bad Bob Posted 27 May, 2009 Posted 27 May, 2009 I thought Fry was meant to provide an update today? It's not 1730 yet, isn't 1730 COB for most companies?
EastleighSoulBoy Posted 27 May, 2009 Posted 27 May, 2009 If the Irish takeover happens , will St Mary's be renamed Hail Marys I think we have certain members who would have it called 'Seig heil Marys'
dubai_phil Posted 27 May, 2009 Posted 27 May, 2009 A smokescreen...? As in you reckon it's a figment of someone's imagination? More twists and turns than a Dan Brown Novel, as easy to read and filled with the same grammatical nightmares. Yes, his new novel will be published in September, Saints and Sinners, the true story of the Southampton Takeover. Will be number one in the fiction charts within minutes and stay there for let's guess, 48 hours Meanwhile the Dyer thing could be very good news, sad to see him go he'll be good in a few years regards slightly less than very worried of Al Safa
Big Bad Bob Posted 27 May, 2009 Posted 27 May, 2009 The one in the middle fits double glazing......Paddy O'Dors is his name The one on the end bounces off walls...he's called Rick o'Shea
dubai_phil Posted 27 May, 2009 Posted 27 May, 2009 It's not 1730 yet, isn't 1730 COB for most companies? Isn't that always the way with Hotmail accounts though
Delmary Posted 27 May, 2009 Posted 27 May, 2009 I know i dont post often, but i thought i would share my news.Their is an Irish consortium that have today paid the £500,000 required to enter a period of exclusivity, and a deal is done at £15,000,000,subject to nothing untoward being found. As we were a PLC,working under strict guidlines hopefully none will be found. The Pinnacle bid is still very much in the hunt and this new interest from the 2 Irish guys might force there hand one way or the other.Hopefully within a matter of days we will have a club to be proud of once again.Do you have any fresh news?
alehouseboys Posted 27 May, 2009 Posted 27 May, 2009 The one on the end bounces off walls...he's called Rick o'Shea ...and the two top left are a couple of oirish poofters...Patrick Fitzgerald and Gerald Fitzpatrick...
INFLUENCED.COM Posted 27 May, 2009 Posted 27 May, 2009 The one on the end bounces off walls...he's called Rick o'Shea I know his mate, hangs from the ceiling...Sean D'olier
Saints foreva Posted 27 May, 2009 Posted 27 May, 2009 Dyer sold for 400k...200k tomorrow morning and 200k next month....assets gone down and buys fry more time to not make a decision....the irish bid is a massive smoke screen imo for bidding to go up.... 200k tomorrow and 200k next month? I doubt this is true because we may not have a club next month.
Frank's cousin Posted 27 May, 2009 Posted 27 May, 2009 So 610 posts and no new news and no advance really on post 1? ;-)
INFLUENCED.COM Posted 27 May, 2009 Posted 27 May, 2009 So 610 posts and no new news and no advance really on post 1? ;-) Did you expect anything else from a takeover thread ?
Evo Posted 27 May, 2009 Posted 27 May, 2009 ? Shouldn't that be a 'tree leaf clover'? No, it's actually a three leaved four leaf clover. Everybody get behind the shamrock FFS
Wade Garrett Posted 27 May, 2009 Posted 27 May, 2009 Does anyone else suspect that Fry is just tossing it off and playing everyone for idiots? Or is it just me.
bridge too far Posted 27 May, 2009 Posted 27 May, 2009 I know his mate, hangs from the ceiling...Sean D'olier Who used to be married to Win D'OSill (we did all this last night FFS )
INFLUENCED.COM Posted 27 May, 2009 Posted 27 May, 2009 (we did all this last night FFS ) Sorry BTF, didn't get on board till page 7
Weston Saint Posted 27 May, 2009 Posted 27 May, 2009 Dyer sold for 400k...200k tomorrow morning and 200k next month....assets gone down and buys fry more time to not make a decision....the irish bid is a massive smoke screen imo for bidding to go up....Nothing in your posting history which would lead me to disbelieve you so if you are right good news because I feared the club would join the PLC in Administration tonight. Buys a bit of time imo
Wade Garrett Posted 27 May, 2009 Posted 27 May, 2009 Nothing in your posting history which would lead me to disbelieve you so if you are right good news because I feared the club would join the PLC in Administration tonight. Buys a bit of time imo Weston, you have to ask the question - How much time is needed? Personally, I am starting to think we are being strung along.
Made in Southampton Posted 27 May, 2009 Posted 27 May, 2009 Ok meridian is on in a minute, letssee what they have to say.
Made in Southampton Posted 27 May, 2009 Posted 27 May, 2009 Great nothing but a mention about the skates.
beatlesaint Posted 27 May, 2009 Posted 27 May, 2009 Ok meridian is on in a minute, letssee what they have to say. Its only 10 mins prog cos of the champions league final. Best off with old Roger on South Today again...who will be full of Skate news no doubt !!!
Norm Posted 27 May, 2009 Posted 27 May, 2009 These latest rumours are extremely worrying. I've heard about there being fairies are the bottom of the garden but leprachaums at St Mary's takes some believing. Maybe they're related to the likes of Simon Gillett. Had plenty in the first team last season but can't for the life of me why NORM would be having his relations getting involved. It was bad enough with the likes of Javi. He didn't stay around long but definitely was more ITK that these puny immitators that post on this site nowadays. Hmmm!! One Mick looks the same as another to me!?? That's it! Shameus and me won't be telling you any more secrets! 'Art, keep it under your hat' you were told. Now everyone knows:rolleyes:
Made in Southampton Posted 27 May, 2009 Posted 27 May, 2009 The guy on Meridian said that he had spoken to Fry today but all he said was that he was in a meeting today and had nothing else to add. So I guess thats the end of that then for today.
Ed Rooney Posted 27 May, 2009 Posted 27 May, 2009 Does anyone else suspect that Fry is just tossing it off and playing everyone for idiots? Or is it just me. Nope not just you, I only hope the people trying to do the deals dont get ****ed off
rallyboy Posted 27 May, 2009 Posted 27 May, 2009 Bearing in mind Storrie can sell Pompey over afternoon tea, incl due diligence etc, could Mr Fry get off his arse and get a deal done because them getting new investment before us is about as stupid as us getting relegated. We are cursed, that is the only rational explanation.
benjii Posted 27 May, 2009 Posted 27 May, 2009 Bearing in mind Storrie can sell Pompey over afternoon tea, incl due diligence etc, could Mr Fry get off his arse and get a deal done because them getting new investment before us is about as stupid as us getting relegated. We are cursed, that is the only rational explanation. According to Pompey's website, due dilligence hasn't finished yet. I'm not saying it won't - the guy is clearly mental if he wants to waste loads of money on that disgusting relic - just that it hasn't yet
Saint Billy Posted 27 May, 2009 Posted 27 May, 2009 The guy on Meridian said that he had spoken to Fry today but all he said was that he was in a meeting today and had nothing else to add. So I guess thats the end of that then for today. Hype in the morning, feck all in the afternoon. Same thing every day. Really really getting sick of this.

We are cursed, that is the only rational explanation. Not exactly. They too have been seeking new investment/ownership for much of the last 12 months, and they are a club in the PL with a city council that is despeat to elp find a new site for a ground, esp with the world cup bid in mind Whilst they remain at Fratton Park they will continue to struggle to narrow their losses. Their plans to cut the wage bill in order to do just that may be about to be ripped up, only serving to increase their losses - a risky business given the calls for clubs to be run more prudently. Feel free though to continue to act the prima donna

We are cursed, that is the only rational explanation. Pompey was put up for sale nearly 6 months ago, tbh. Wrapping it up seems to have gone quickly but they didn't just get sold in an instant.
Wade Garrett Posted 27 May, 2009 Posted 27 May, 2009 Just seen South Today. How that crap down the road can find new owners at will (Mandaric, Gaydamak, this new bloke) and we can't suggests something is very wrong.
Joesaint Posted 27 May, 2009 Posted 27 May, 2009 Feel gutted, you think a deal may just get done for us and get smacked in the face with skates getting f loads of cash.
Ponty Posted 27 May, 2009 Posted 27 May, 2009 Just seen South Today. How that crap down the road can find new owners at will (Mandaric, Gaydamak, this new bloke) and we can't suggests something is very wrong. It's not rocket science, chap. We're in the third division.
ottery st mary Posted 27 May, 2009 Posted 27 May, 2009 Very wrong being the operative words...I have seen many posters and other fans I meet suggest the same...Maybe there is maybe not....I have always believed there is something amiss ever since Askham and crew...I will not mention Rupert as it opens a can of worms and Frank, jonah and nickey will be having MORE hissy fits. eVEN THIS BUSINESS OF ADMIN and Begbies....What is hidden in the cupboard. Suspicious minds.. We should be an easy number really. VERY STRANGE INDEED.
Master Bates Posted 27 May, 2009 Posted 27 May, 2009 Mark Fry won't be addressing his adouring fans tonight, he says one thing but does another. Fry Out!
Wade Garrett Posted 27 May, 2009 Posted 27 May, 2009 It's not rocket science, chap. We're in the third division. I realise that, but we haven't always been there, and nor were Pompey when Mandaric took over. They have a crap ground, small support, a big f*ck off wage bill and a ton of debt. They will never be able to sustain themselves financially in the Premier league. We should get Storrie to have a quiet word with Fry and give him a few tips. That man could sell a bucket of sh*t to the Queen.
eurosaint Posted 27 May, 2009 Posted 27 May, 2009 ...and the two top left are a couple of oirish poofters...Patrick Fitzgerald and Gerald Fitzpatrick... Wrong, I know for a fact that it is Ben Doon and Phillip McCavity !!
saint_mears Posted 27 May, 2009 Posted 27 May, 2009 Just seen South Today. How that crap down the road can find new owners at will (Mandaric, Gaydamak, this new bloke) and we can't suggests something is very wrong. Well they have the Premiership and we are League 1. They have used Pini Zahavi as broker from Mandaric to Gaydamak and i dare say he is involved again somewhere. In the past Lowe has never been interested in selling the club and all we did is sink as his ego took over.
SuperSAINT Posted 27 May, 2009 Posted 27 May, 2009 Rumour I hear is that Tommac is behind the Irish bid. (No joke)
Master Bates Posted 27 May, 2009 Posted 27 May, 2009 Mark Fry won't be addressing his adouring fans tonight, he says one thing but does another. Fry Out! I wish Lowe was here, he'd know what to do.
Wade Garrett Posted 27 May, 2009 Posted 27 May, 2009 Rumour I hear is that Tommac is behind the Irish bid. (No joke) If true it would seem that Fry is as gullible as they come. His nose for bullsh*tters isn't great if he's pinning his hopes on tommac and Jackson.
Saint Bowood Posted 27 May, 2009 Posted 27 May, 2009 I wish Lowe was here, he'd know what to do. He'd sack Fry and employ his assistant
Master Bates Posted 27 May, 2009 Posted 27 May, 2009 He'd sack Fry and employ his assistant If true it would seem that Fry is as gullible as they come. His nose for bullsh*tters isn't great if he's pinning his hopes on tommac and Jackson. Tommac and Jacko should merge..........

We should get Storrie to have a quiet word with Fry and give him a few tips. That man could sell a bucket of sh*t to the Queen. We had Rupert Lowe as chairman who was more interested in self preservation (the salary he drew) than selling the club.
Mole Posted 27 May, 2009 Posted 27 May, 2009 If true it would seem that Fry is as gullible as they come. His nose for bullsh*tters isn't great if he's pinning his hopes on tommac and Jackson. IMO he knows Wacko Jacko is a bullsh*tter, even a blithering idiot realises this. IMO he's using them a bargaining tool and is completely naive in doing so because the real bidders will know they aren't genuine. That said having these fantasists delaying the process brings in more wonga for Begbies...
ART Posted 27 May, 2009 Posted 27 May, 2009 How is it that Pompey gets sold so easily? It's called INTERNATIONAL MONEY LAUNDERING. Simple, plain and easy. And remember Manchester City also have a link with this same guy.
Saint Billy Posted 27 May, 2009 Posted 27 May, 2009 Oh well thats that then for today, I suppose I could watch the millionares kick a ball about tonight in the certainty that there will be no announcement in the meantime. Do I sound bitter? fecking right I do when the value of just one of the players playing in the champions league final tonight would get us out of the ****e and more.
Weston Saint Posted 27 May, 2009 Posted 27 May, 2009 So there you have it. Jackson for the English consortium, tommac for the Irish and ......Dan Williams for the overseas.
Weston Super Saint Posted 27 May, 2009 Posted 27 May, 2009 So there you have it. Jackson for the English consortium, tommac for the Irish and ......Dan Williams for the overseas. It's the dream team! I'll wager 91 other clubs are jealous
Mole Posted 27 May, 2009 Posted 27 May, 2009 So there you have it. Jackson for the English consortium, tommac for the Irish and ......Dan Williams for the overseas. Can you please clarify this is a joke.
