What's wrong with Pinnacle?

Nothing is wrong with Pinnacle apart from, monday MJ were front runners(supposedly), yesterday and up and to now the Irish bid were front runners and now we are back to the Pinnacle group.

All very confusing and frustrating, My first sexual experience was not as up and down as this!

I dont get it,how come the sad faces,i thought Pinnacle were ok.

Because the Irish man is richer than Pinnacle, people have gone from wanting to get bought by anyone to wanting to be bought by a rich man.

i think we are all getting confused what is best for the fans. Only when we see who is behind any of the deals will we know..that is anybody ever comes up trumps

Absolutely.

I reckon if it's going to happen it will be today, tomorrow or not at all.

something will happen in the next 48 hours. I hope that's the last time I type that, even in jest.

Think the worst - liquidation - and we'll all be pleasantly surprised. I hope.

ENDGAME!

I'm guessing it didn't last as long either.

Nick Leeson is Irish football isn't he?

He is on the board of Galway utd & is doing a decent job with very limited funds, and gave Jeff Kenna his management début.

Interestingly at the All Ireland Gaelic championship games including Northern counties venues, fly the tricolour flag and have the Irish National anthem.

lol I have never paid that a second thought, I am not a big fan of Ireland's call though.

my vote for the best Irish song for a crowd to sing is The Fields of Athenry.

By the league 1 stadium wall,

I heard a young girl calling,

Rupert, you have fecked it all away,

Strachen was the Man,

After that we just went down,

Now the Irish have come in to Save the day.

Low lie the fields of Athenry/Saint Mary's

Where once we watched the small free birds fly

Our love was on the wing

We had dreams and songs to sing

It's so lonely round the fields of Athenry/Saint Mary's

Guy shows up when they're in the fizzy pop, says I like the plan, like the potential. Buys 30%, three years later they're stable in the Prem says I'll take the whole lot please.

Stable ? wouldn't call this season stable, his poke may bring stability, that said they have spent a rake of dough already (20m for KJ my arse, although it was HR).

Consortiums appear mysterious due to their anonymity, do they remain anonymous so the seller doesn't realise their wealth too early and put up the price ? or realise their identity early, disclose it, allowing them to be over analysed on forums ? who knows, lets just hope we hear soon who our new owners are.

Nothing at all ( i think?!?!)- it's just that as someone else has just said above - the last 10 pages have all been about how this Irish lot have swooped in for the kill and are on the verge of taking over, or if they dont, we're done for - now it looks as though Pinnacle have done the deal.

What has changed since 2 wks ago when they first looked at the prov books to today where they're 'doing the deal'.

why the wait? I know it's a tricky process etc etc...

At the end of the day, i'd be happy with Bin Laden and Pol Pot (not Paul Potts off the TV) to come in, as long as it means SFC survives...

Pinnacles R&W Army

or

Irish lots R&W Army

or

MJ's R&W Army

or

A N Others R&W Army

I am worried. The Irish have arrived late, they have made a deposit but have to agree and sign contracts to reach exclusivity. Those contracts caused Pinnacle to hit a brick wall and delayed the MJ/SG grouping.

Fry said he wanted Pinnacle & MJ/SG to keep talking. Specialist legal knowledge came my way from a friend which as a helper I have passed on. The advice indicated that contracts would in all likelihood need to be signed today to avoid the possibility that the club could be placed in Admin, possibly tomorrow.

So I am worried about that input, I have no clue or any source from UK as to whether it could be linked to specific operational problems at the club, it was the advice that was worrying. I cannot post it on here, not because of any iTK'ness, but because it is a family friend who works in a related field and he specifically asked me to not mention the details but ask the group to contact him directly.

I am told his professional advice has been helpful, but it is not known if it has come in time.

So I apologise for any typos or linguistic faults, but not for being worried

I am following you correctly? Somebody you know (directly or indirectly) has some legal advice for the potential buyers and has asked you to ask the aforementioned potential buyers to contain him/her directly if they wish to listen to said advice? You are not able to reveal what the advice is other than "it indicated that contracts would in all likelihood need to be signed today to avoid the possibility that the club could be placed in Admin, possibly tomorrow"

Is this advice generic advice that is applicable in these situations or specific to the contracts in question? Which group did you pass this to? The late comers? Does anyone know what it was in the contracts that stalled Pinnacle?

Could Pinnacle be representing these guys ?

God knows!!

In fact I am going to get on me knee's and ask him, bet I'll get as load of spin from him aswell.

Bastards. It seems as though we're the only club who can't attract a takeover.

Stockport aren't pulling up many trees...

Solent did say that Pinnacle were finalising a deal, with a believed Irish consortium also making a late bid.

All they've done is summarised this thread then.

That would depend on whether the news bulletin was 25 minutes long and contained an intensive grammar lesson on the use of "I" and "me", surely ?

**** Pompey couldnt give a ****e about their future once he sees his players changing in someone's back garden things may be different

I was kinda hoping they'd be the same; debt, relegation worries, poxy ground...

Not sure if Pinnacle have been mentioned as being this close to a deal.

Last I read on here was that they were all jumping ship. Now they are the front runners again. Depends who you believe, Solents sources or this forums.

The idea of the that big fat bellend Pompey supporter with the bell wearing a shirt with an anti-malnutrition message (new owner's pet concern) is actually quite funny.

This fits with the Strachan to them move though and I really hope they don't have the last laugh.

what is it about Pompey that people fall for all the time??? A pompey fan must have let a genie out of the bottle for what has happened to both clubs in the last 5 years

I'm assuming it's the "this looks like a fixer-upper" thing ?

Who's going to buy a house with a wonky chimney when you can buy a crap heap and mould it to your every need ?

Does prove that even billionaire businessmen are lazy feckers though, spend an extra few hundred million and get the global status ready made, rather than working on a project to build something up.

It's just being in the Premier. That's all. Guaranteed big income, exposure, and ego-satiating.

We're crap and in Div 1. I'm afraid it's quite easy to read, this one.

I think that the timing of our relegation (if there can be such a thing) was the worst possible. It was just as football money got really mad and the consortiums really started to kick in.Being in the PL just makes people want to buy

These latest rumours are extremely worrying. I've heard about there being fairies are the bottom of the garden but leprachaums at St Mary's takes some believing. Maybe they're related to the likes of Simon Gillett. Had plenty in the first team last season but can't for the life of me why NORM would be having his relations getting involved. It was bad enough with the likes of Javi. He didn't stay around long but definitely was more ITK that these puny immitators that post on this site nowadays.

Hmmm!! One Mick looks the same as another to me!??

Jackson consortium, collection of money men brought together, low bid rejected, second bid no deposit, looking at the books.

Pinnacle, similar but bring MLT on board, two money men walk away, bid collapses, keep trying and may have got a couple more money men or originals have been persuaded.

Alleged Irish interest, advanced discussions deposit ready, moving forward.

Fry hoping to name preferred bidder by the end of tomorrow.

If the Irish bid has come this far this quickly and turn out to be serious, are named the preferred bidders, that would be preferable for me, as the other two have been struggling to put it together for a long time now.

What is it with the Echo, all over the back page a bloody four leaved clover FFS. What's wrong with the shamrock you prats.
