Gorgiesaint Posted 26 May, 2009 Posted 26 May, 2009 Saints fans will be updated in next 24 hours by Mark Fry who is now more optimistic than last week of a deal. Wages have to be paid on Thursday. Odds on he says that something may happen in the next 48 hours!! The good news is that he's more optimistic, so it'll be another day of overusing the F5 key then.....
Saint Fan CaM Posted 26 May, 2009 Posted 26 May, 2009 Well I am NOT going to be sucked into wasting another day of my life oggling the OS and this forum for news. Too many false dawns - I am sick of it. Good news that there's some positive news though eh?
smithy Posted 26 May, 2009 Posted 26 May, 2009 Saints fans will be updated in next 24 hours by Mark Fry who is now more optimistic than last week of a deal. Wages have to be paid on Thursday. Hasn't Leon already taken care of the wages?
Ponty Posted 26 May, 2009 Posted 26 May, 2009 Would anyone like the forum to be closed until this time tomorrow?

Micky Posted 26 May, 2009 Posted 26 May, 2009 Would anyone like the forum to be closed until this time tomorrow? No way - I've just invested in my latest gadget "The all new automatic F5 tapper". £4.99 from 'Gadgets are Us' - a bargain...!!!
slickmick Posted 26 May, 2009 Posted 26 May, 2009 Would anyone like the forum to be closed until this time tomorrow? Yes, the Southampton area will then get some work done and end the recession.
wimbornesaint Posted 26 May, 2009 Posted 26 May, 2009 Would anyone like the forum to be closed until this time tomorrow? Now that would be awesome! YES

Wages have to be paid on Thursday. I am so glad that the wages have to be paid on Thursday.I would dread to think of Surman ,Macgoalmiss ,BWP etc going to their young savers accounts to see they have not got there unearned pay for the month.
Give it to Ron Posted 26 May, 2009 Author Posted 26 May, 2009 Would anyone like the forum to be closed until this time tomorrow? Could you cope that long without your moderation fix?
Ponty Posted 26 May, 2009 Posted 26 May, 2009 Could you cope that long without your moderation fix? Yeah, I only get an hour in during the working day anyway.
Redondo Saint Posted 26 May, 2009 Posted 26 May, 2009 No way - I've just invested in my latest gadget "The all new automatic F5 tapper". £4.99 from 'Gadgets are Us' - a bargain...!!! I understand they can also be purchased from the megastore!!
Essruu Posted 26 May, 2009 Posted 26 May, 2009 I am so glad that the wages have to be paid on Thursday.I would dread to think of Surman ,Macgoalmiss ,BWP etc going to their young savers accounts to see they have not got there unearned pay for the month. How about the backroom staff, the admin personnel, the cleaners and the like, who have been told "not to expect to get paid on Thursday, but if they do then it's 'a bonus'?"
Mole Posted 26 May, 2009 Posted 26 May, 2009 When something does happen expect the ITK's to be queing up to say "i told you so" as they probably did given they'd covered every base.
Master Bates Posted 26 May, 2009 Posted 26 May, 2009 When something does happen expect the ITK's to be queing up to say "i told you so" as they probably did given they'd covered every base. And when they do, will you be saying "I told you so?" And when you do, will I say "I told you so?" And when I say "I told you so?" Will I say "I told you so?" again? I'm going for a lie down.
Deppo Posted 26 May, 2009 Posted 26 May, 2009 And when they do, will you be saying "I told you so?" No, he'll be finding something to whinge about.
Paul Chuckle Posted 26 May, 2009 Posted 26 May, 2009 I am so glad I am working and training in Bristol for next month so I can't keep checking on here every minute. Instead I will be pleasantly surprised by any news :-)
Micky Posted 26 May, 2009 Posted 26 May, 2009 I understand they can also be purchased from the megastore!! Ahhh that might explain a few of the never ending 48 hour deadlines that have been set then - a cunning money making idea by some club insider...!
Master Bates Posted 26 May, 2009 Posted 26 May, 2009 No, he'll be finding something to whinge about. His egg's not cooked properly.
sadoldgit Posted 26 May, 2009 Posted 26 May, 2009 I am so glad that the wages have to be paid on Thursday.I would dread to think of Surman ,Macgoalmiss ,BWP etc going to their young savers accounts to see they have not got there unearned pay for the month. What about the staff at St Marys? It would affect their wages too.
Micky Posted 26 May, 2009 Posted 26 May, 2009 When something does happen expect the ITK's to be queing up to say "i told you so" as they probably did given they'd covered every base. It would be easier to pick holes in War & Peace than it would to trawl through the never ending sagas posted on here. Whilst I don't believe a word of whats posted, I could probably crawl up my own ass, trying to argue some of the drivel thats been posted. It just isn't worth the hassle. Anybody tells me that 'They told me so' - I believe you - the mess on here is just too much to face.
Snowballs2 Posted 26 May, 2009 Posted 26 May, 2009 For all those who claim to be ITK there has been a real lack of sensible ,honest and constructive forecasts. Have we at last seen the death of the ITKers
hypochondriac Posted 26 May, 2009 Posted 26 May, 2009 When something does happen expect the ITK's to be queing up to say "i told you so" as they probably did given they'd covered every base. I'll be the first to admit I knew nothing about it if it happens. It's not like anyone will care what anyone says if we get a takeover. We'll just be partying!
pilsburydoughboy Posted 26 May, 2009 Posted 26 May, 2009 What about the staff at St Marys? It would affect their wages too. Do i mention the back room staff not getting paid.No. I was simply yalking about people who dont deserve to get paid. The shoddy bunch of players should pay the all the admin etc.
Delmary Posted 26 May, 2009 Posted 26 May, 2009 The ticket office has revised it's opening hours. http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/news/?page_id=11777 Would be a strange thing to announce if the club was on the verge of bankruptcy.
OldNick Posted 26 May, 2009 Posted 26 May, 2009 (edited) right who's your money on which consortium is getting the heads up. You probably know who I think is the one. VectisSaint Posted 26 May, 2009 Posted 26 May, 2009 The ticket office has revised it's opening hours. http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/news/?page_id=11777 Would be a strange thing to announce if the club was on the verge of bankruptcy. The opening hours have been reduced. M-F was 8-4, now 9-5 (same hours but shifted by 1 hour), and not opening Saturdays.

Can someone please tell me what is the point of the ticket office being open if we cannot sell season tickets??? why would someone go down there? We are paying people to do nothing at the moment.......
Block 5 Posted 26 May, 2009 Posted 26 May, 2009 I am so glad I am working and training in Bristol for next month so I can't keep checking on here every minute. Instead I will be pleasantly surprised by any news :-) Oh really?!?

trousers Posted 26 May, 2009 Posted 26 May, 2009 I've got a sneaking suspicion that Phil Collins might be coming up on the rails...! Any bidders for the mental picture I have right now?
miserableoldgit Posted 26 May, 2009 Posted 26 May, 2009 Overseas bidder?? Ahhh thanks I''ll edit "Mystery" overseas bidder!
RedAndWhite91 Posted 26 May, 2009 Posted 26 May, 2009 South Today and their magic "next 24 hours" How many times have we heard this, and how many more times will we?
Rocker268 Posted 26 May, 2009 Posted 26 May, 2009 right who's your money on which consortium is getting the heads up. You probably know who I think is the one. MJ and the Xerox Pinnacle (Farmer on the site today, could be good) Rod and Gord Scottish hordes or Salz n' Pepper The Terminators Delmarys overseas consortium I would hope Pinnacle, they seem the most promising, but then again I don't care who buys us as long as someone does, although I think this is another false alarm of something happeneing, IMHO I can see Fry saying tomorrow that a deadline of 24 hours has been set to make a bid and we will still be in the same situation next week with no new news
IrishSaint Posted 26 May, 2009 Posted 26 May, 2009 Can someone please tell me what is the point of the ticket office being open if we cannot sell season tickets??? why would someone go down there? We are paying people to do nothing at the moment....... Exactly my thinking, surely there is no need for the ticket office to be open at the moment? However I wouldn't like to see the staff laid off either, maybe they could be used else where for the time being, or working on research for possible season tickets / match tickets for next season so the new owners (I'm sure they are doing this themselves as well) have some research so that they can make announce prices as soon as possible.
