lordswoodsaints Posted 25 May, 2009 Posted 25 May, 2009 with some far east backers, jim smith and neil sillett. he wants to buy everton but somebody needs to tell him about our little club looking for a financial hero. he has connections with the club and we have a ready built stadium unlike everton who are looking for £400mil to build theirs. my only argument with him would be that at the height of his career he allowed maradona to stroll past him without even attempting to kick the 'scrawny little, coke snorting, hand of god' cheat up in the air,but if he buys the club then im sure i can forgive him. :-)

krissyboy31 Posted 25 May, 2009 Posted 25 May, 2009 Perhaps he would bring Branfoot back with him I would think that Branfoot's tactics were well suited to League 1.
Wade Garrett Posted 25 May, 2009 Posted 25 May, 2009 I would think that Branfoot's tactics were well suited to League 1. You'd be wrong. They like to play a bit of football down there.
dubai_phil Posted 25 May, 2009 Posted 25 May, 2009 One for the conspiracy theorists..... So where was Peter Reid yesterday? And where will he be tomorrow and then next weekend Answers 1) Doing our version of Survival Sunday on TV with Rob McAffrey 2) Lands in the UK tomorrow 3) ... nope unfortunately - he's off to Wembley to watch the Cup Final and is really looking forward to it. They yacked about it when they ran out of things to say about how bad Newcastle & Boro were
eelpie Posted 25 May, 2009 Posted 25 May, 2009 He would be good. We could have done with a hairdryer in the dressing room last season.
OldNick Posted 25 May, 2009 Posted 25 May, 2009 He'd be ok in my book especially if he'd be manager as well
lordswoodsaints Posted 25 May, 2009 Author Posted 25 May, 2009 not gonna happen,he wants to buy everton did you not 'reid' my initial post?
ottery st mary Posted 25 May, 2009 Posted 25 May, 2009 I can't see the woods for the Reids. Very interesting one.
corsacar saint Posted 25 May, 2009 Posted 25 May, 2009 Did he not play here on loan, as a favour to his mate Branfoot. When Branfoot was hounded out, I think Reid was far than impressed. So I think this is never likely to happen.
kpturner Posted 25 May, 2009 Posted 25 May, 2009 I think Ali Dia has more concrete links with Saints than Peter Reid.
