Leicestersaint Posted 23 May, 2009 Share Posted 23 May, 2009 We're going well so far - 115 for 0 after 17.4 I imagine there's a good crowd today.

chrisobee Posted 23 May, 2009 Share Posted 23 May, 2009 Hmm, Middx need about 100 off 10.5 overs with 7 wickets in hand so it could be a nail biter. Typically Udal was their best bowler with 2-45 off 10. Dawson looks to be our best bowler so far and has managed to push the required rate up from 7 to about 9.6 per over. No sign of Ervine or Carberry bowling today.

Um Bongo Posted 23 May, 2009 Share Posted 23 May, 2009 We win by 45 runs or something like that. Bring on the semis.
Berkshire Saint Posted 23 May, 2009 Share Posted 23 May, 2009 Lancashire away it is then. Not the best draw, ideally would have been at home and our record at Lancs isn't great. Did anyone on here go today? What was the crowd like?
Lets B Avenue Posted 23 May, 2009 Share Posted 23 May, 2009 Not the best. Probably around 2000. Put it down to the ridiculous schedule. It wasn't till wednesday evening that we knew we even had a home draw. Imagine a lot of people had already committed themselves to other activities. A pity really, cos this is looking the best team we've had since the early nineties with Maco and Judge. Only really missing a strike bowler. Sicknote Tremlett perchance? **** poor draw though. Old Trafford on a Sunday.
stevegrant Posted 24 May, 2009 Share Posted 24 May, 2009 Here's hoping Sky choose our game to show live that day... I actually thought we might have been 40 runs short of par at the close of our innings as we slowed to a crawl between the 25th and 40th overs, when Udal and Malan seemed to have a bit of control over us, despite the pitch not appearing to offer much for the bowlers at all. They looked well on course at one point, but the wicket of Dexter was the key one, and they collapsed after that. Without Phil Hughes, Andrew Strauss, Eoin Morgan and Owais Shah, it was always going to be a tough ask for them.
