bungle Posted 22 May, 2009 Posted 22 May, 2009 I was hoping this thread might be about the Bowl Championship Series.
badgerx16 Posted 22 May, 2009 Posted 22 May, 2009 I've never come across a situation where not being a member has been a barrier, depite meeting all the necessary criteria.
Smirking_Saint Posted 22 May, 2009 Posted 22 May, 2009 sorry..British Computer Society I would say anything like this would be of benefit ?? Do you have to pay ?? Can't see it as being a hinderence and normally these sort of things can open doors for you. I am considering joining the IEEE for that very reason. May be worth checking the IET too if you are interested in these sorts of things. On another note.... god i hate computers.

You have to pay £90 ish (less if you are a student or have recently graduated). I posted this really to see if anyone on here was a member already. Will check out the IET too. And yes, i ahte them also :-)

badgerx16 Posted 22 May, 2009 Posted 22 May, 2009 It will look good, and may open a few doors, but as an 'old lag', ( nearly 30 years in the ICT business ), it just hasn't appealed to me, probably because it is only recently they have made it accessible to people on the basis of professional experience rather than needing to be an IT related graduate.
