Give it to Ron Posted 21 May, 2009 Share Posted 21 May, 2009 On a day when the Rosebowl is basked in glorious sunshine....Headingley and the ODI is abandoned due to waterlogged pitch. Yet another brilliant decision by the numpties!

Give it to Ron Posted 21 May, 2009 Author Share Posted 21 May, 2009 tut, i guess there 'see the weather in the future' machine was broken? Or the fact that the South's weather is far better in the early part of the summer than the North but then again that was far too obvious for you perhaps are you part of the ECB? Give it to Ron Posted 21 May, 2009 Author Share Posted 21 May, 2009 Sarcasm, perfectly excecuted. Really .....personally I thought it rather childish but going by your posts on the main board lately can see why you think otherwise. Funnily enough Ian Botham...you may have heard of him perhaps has also suggested it was a stupid decision to play there today with all their drainage issues....still that may be too highbrow a conversation for you. Ponty Posted 21 May, 2009 Share Posted 21 May, 2009 Blimey, what's with all the personal attacks today? Did everyone back home have a sense of humour bypass this week?
saint_stevo Posted 21 May, 2009 Share Posted 21 May, 2009 I'm still with ya ponts, it seems ron is rather highly strung and maybe needs some time in the fist
chrisobee Posted 21 May, 2009 Share Posted 21 May, 2009 Lol, I didn't know we allowed arguments on this most civilised of forums I must admit with the weather here in Watford ( not so far north!) absolutely lovely and me looking forward to watching the game I was pretty fed up it was rained off. For some reason I had it in mind it was at Lords, wishful thinking methinks. However, I do agree that it doesn't take a genius to figure out the likelihood of rain is greater the further north you go so in that respect scheduling the game for Leeds was pretty stupid but then what do you expect when it's the ECB we are talking about. If it can go wrong they'll make sure it will !
This Charming Man Posted 22 May, 2009 Share Posted 22 May, 2009 If they had any sense, they would have played it here in Laos. Currently 35c and bright sunshine. ECB OUT
bungle Posted 22 May, 2009 Share Posted 22 May, 2009 To be fair, I'd rather the Rose Bowl got a game against the Aussies than the WIndies. If you'd prefer it the other way around then go ahead with your complaining.
chrisobee Posted 22 May, 2009 Share Posted 22 May, 2009 I'm not complaining about it not being at the Rose Bowl ( not much use for me anyway) I would have thought Lords or the Oval made more sense to be honest.

the stain Posted 22 May, 2009 Share Posted 22 May, 2009 It's been the wrong time of year to hold a series of international matches full stop. Nobody could have guaranteed decent weather at any venue (it's rained down here most of the last week too). Remind me not to invite the OP to any BBQs though. RedAndWhite91 Posted 22 May, 2009 Share Posted 22 May, 2009 Don't worry, when the Rose Bowl has all that money pumped into it's development it will be one of the best test grounds in the world, apparently.
Saint Keith Posted 22 May, 2009 Share Posted 22 May, 2009 its also a pretty stupid decison that we are not playing ashes matches at old trafford or trent bridge, where we have the best records
