True....... although full sentence says "......has been arrested and charged with section 39 common assault. Lundekvam has been bailed to appear at Southampton Magistrates Court May 11th". If already charged then surely she didn't deserve it?

That is a simple as a little back hander that leaves no marking. Infact I know of someone who got charged for that for 'poking' someone. I am sure she was probably gobbing off or pestering him for a line, so she deserved it.

If I recall correctly...I think it was the game when Michael Svensson got his serious injury- whilst warming up in that game. The rapidly-reorganised defence was never ready for the Pompey onslaught. INFLUENCED.COM Posted 6 May, 2010 Share Posted 6 May, 2010 Spoke to a mate last week who suggested Claus is not of sound mind at the minute, not solely because of the crimes he has committed because of certain behaviours, of course whatever he is taking has had an impact but clearly now needs help. Although I still think 'idiot' as it is his lifestyle that has brought this about perhaps he is too proud/stubborn in moments of sobriety to listen to advice and seek help so perhaps a court order will go someway to put him right. mel1961red Posted 6 May, 2010 Share Posted 6 May, 2010 ALthough I do in no way shape or form have any sympathy for the alleged charges against him you have to ask yourself why why why has he got himself in this mess. As with anyone in life you come across all sorts of things that can lead you to do things which are completely alien to your normal way of life but normally something or someone has triggered off something which causes you to act in a diff way. I thnink that poor Claus is a bit like Gascoigne and cannot cope with no longer being able to play football at a professional level and has turned even more to drink to help him through. Lets say hopefully he will learn from this and get the help thats needed before he ends up killing himself or someone else. IMO he was a great servant to the club and I for one was always glad to see him on the team sheet. At the end of the day we have all done something in our lives that we are not proud of lets hope that he reads these threads and turns things around for the sake of his family,I did go to his testomonial and remember something about him paying for it to go ahead. I have to say it was a good night and he well deserved it IMO

The rapidly-reorganised defence was never ready for the Pompey onslaught. Svensson was injured prior to the game the previous season when they beat us 1-0. I honestly believe if he hadn't been injured in the warm up we wouldn't have lost that game, the Skates wouldn't have had a resurgence in form, and thus would have been relegated. Anyway with regards to Claus, there's clearly something not right with the bloke.

I was reply to the previous poster about remembering the game, nothing to do with Svenson so pipe down, but just to be clear, I am fully aware when he got injured and just for the record, it was a calf injury in the warm up at Fratton Park (we lost 1-0 March 2004, yakubu scored the winner after about 70 minutes and Phillips hit a post in injury time) and then he injured his knee in training coming back from that injury. Also Crouch was "injured" or for some reason unavailable and pulled out just before kick off at Fratton Park for the 1-4 game and couldn't play so we had to go with Camara (who scored our goal, ran onto a through ball and put it into the bottom left corner as you face the Fratton end to make it 1-2) and Phillips up front. I also recall, like it was yesterday, Matt Taylor punching the net after their third goal and have hated him ever since. I dont think, or at least hope, we will ever see a more shameful, bottleless performance from a saints team ever again. Is that clear enough for you? Modern day legend, and unfortunately the last person you will ever see play 350 games for Southampton, for that reason alone he deserves legend status. Not the best player we have ever had, but a very good one and he could have moved on more than once... at his peak he was world-class.

bugenhagen Posted 8 June, 2010 Share Posted 8 June, 2010 Claus was just on Norwegian telly. Checked in on the "Tony Adams clinique?" in the middle of May. He was talking openly about going into a dark place when his career ended. Needed a substitute for the footie. Started to drink heavily and doing drugs. Honest interwiew, had some difficulties talking about it. Close to tears at the end of it when thinking of what sort of man he had been in this period.
