bungle Posted 18 May, 2009 Posted 18 May, 2009 http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/news/4376242.Alresford_Watercress_Festival_attracts_thousands/ I am not sure how to comment on this? Did anyone go?
Hatch Posted 18 May, 2009 Posted 18 May, 2009 I used to live in Alresford when I was a very small nipper. I used to take a **** in the watercress fields, and so to this day have never eaten it, due to knowing that any watercress could be ****ed stained by me.
bungle Posted 18 May, 2009 Author Posted 18 May, 2009 That is more watercress-based stories than I have.
Hatch Posted 18 May, 2009 Posted 18 May, 2009 It's always handy to have one in the locker. Never know when the topic may come up.
bungle Posted 18 May, 2009 Author Posted 18 May, 2009 I am hopelessly underprepared for the situation.
Junction 9 Posted 18 May, 2009 Posted 18 May, 2009 I worked at the Vitacress factory once running computer cables.
Michelle Posted 25 February, 2010 Posted 25 February, 2010 How do you keep finding all this random ****!? I like watercress. HTH.
saintkiptanui Posted 25 February, 2010 Posted 25 February, 2010 I looked for something that interests me, watercress with it's slightly peppery taste interests me.
saintkiptanui Posted 25 February, 2010 Posted 25 February, 2010 Alresford has lots going for it, watercress and old people.
RedAndWhite91 Posted 25 February, 2010 Posted 25 February, 2010 The only interesting thing is the pub. The rest is rubbish.
bungle Posted 25 February, 2010 Author Posted 25 February, 2010 I looked for something that interests me, watercress with it's slightly peppery taste interests me. You just know that my threads will be the most interesting.
saintkiptanui Posted 25 February, 2010 Posted 25 February, 2010 I think you approached the subject poorly, slightly arrogant.
bungle Posted 25 February, 2010 Author Posted 25 February, 2010 I deliberately provoke debate and discussion. As evidenced by the number of replies.
saintkiptanui Posted 25 February, 2010 Posted 25 February, 2010 I can see this thread surpassing the pompey takeover thread.
saintkiptanui Posted 25 February, 2010 Posted 25 February, 2010 I often forget about that thread and put my tips in here.
bungle Posted 25 February, 2010 Author Posted 25 February, 2010 Your tips always lose, so probably for the best.
saintkiptanui Posted 25 February, 2010 Posted 25 February, 2010 Last week Monets garden 6/1 Our vic 14/1 2nd both advised
tpbury Posted 25 February, 2010 Posted 25 February, 2010 Most young folk who lived in Winchester worked on the Watercress beds in the 1980s.
Smirking_Saint Posted 25 February, 2010 Posted 25 February, 2010 I once grew a little egg hair using watercress. I feel a lesson can be learned somehow.
RedAndWhite91 Posted 25 February, 2010 Posted 25 February, 2010 Most young folk who lived in Winchester worked on the Watercress beds in the 1980s. The Poles do it nowadays.
tpbury Posted 25 February, 2010 Posted 25 February, 2010 The Poles do it nowadays. And do the young folk moan about too many foreigners? Or are they too well off to bother working? 1 pound 10 an hour in my day, ooh and we thought we were lucky. By eck.
