A lot of stuff that has already been put out. Lynham interviewed. Originally had a bigger consortium but now down to 2 businessmen. Still talking to Fry. Has already put unofficial bid in. Loads of interest but no-one "showing the money". Reporter suggested that Thursday is the key day.

The fact that it's gone so quiet suddenly suggests to me that a deal may still be possible, be it with the Pinnacle led consortium or some other group/individual. Maybe Fry announced that a sale is 'unlikely' in a bid to force potential investors into making a formal bid NOW before it's too late? Who knows, but I'm forever an optimist! Lets hope we hear something soon.

the echo said funds had to be cleared by Thurs!

Thursday we need cleared funds to make payroll. If we don't make that, we lose our players (the PFA will not intervene out of season and with the club in admin) and open ourselves up to further penalties.

Basically it is time for the talkers to put up or shut up. Fear houses of cards are falling fast in these "mystery consortia".

Radio Hants said that Fry is at the stadium tomorrow so they will ask him what the situation is.

Not being funny, but WHY has Fry got to be at St Mary's tomorrow ???

If it's all doom and gloom, he could pull the plug from his London office surely ???

Strangely this story was not even mentioned on Meridian Tonight (aka Skate News) - make of that what you will .

Since Meridian Tonight started broadcasting to the whole region, from Newbury, I have been trying, vainly, to get to grips with the whole idea. I can't and now hate it. Obsessed by the hope of hearing something though I tune in. Great news for Gillingham but what about us lot down here? Not a mention, bugger all, not even a whimper!

Anyone hear solent? they went live to Mark Fry, guess what, still talking with Pinnacle.

Did he say if the deadline still stands and things have to be completed by tonight?

Shall I start a Press Conference conspiracy theory? ;)

Anything on South Today?

Neither that I heard, just trying to see if it's online yet.

Did he say more? like how the talks are going, chances of a deal etc ?

Didn't catch it all, I was walking the dog, my mate phoned me and put his phone up to his radio so I could hear, he sounded confident, but then that means nothing.

Yes, pretty good actually. Apparently, they all had a nice cup of tea, three rounds of cheese and cucumber sarnies, and a packet of Wholemeal digestive .......

...... PS No news re the Football though ....

Well, as you cannot show figures to demonstrate the proportions of fans that fit into each of these categories, then it rather renders any comparison between our take-up and theirs, doesn't it? Therefore, until such times as you furnish a detailed split, most on here will be able to take it that a large proportion of their sales are inevitably to those either under 21, or over 60, attracted by the sort of price deals that we have failed to offer.

Furnish a detailed split??? How about player wages to turnover ratio, allowed to rise to 81% under the Wilde, Hone and Crouch watch. I wonder what was Norwich's ratio and if the overheads had an impact on pricing. Furnish a detailed split? Seriously Wes you must get through a lot of Torch batteries.

Under the 'Hone' watch it has to be said.

Well those that had executive powers anyway.

are you still banging that drum? Lowe (and the others played their part) is still largely to blame for our demise.

Just to be clear, has anyone actually confirmed we don't have the cash/access to cash to make pay on Thursday?

If it is the case that a bidder needs to pay a deposit by then, we absolutely need a cheque to be drawn tomorrow, simple as that.

If I was Fry I'd be calling everyone in the world who either can afford us or who has ever shown an interest in buying a club in any sport, anywhere. What about that bloke in South Africa who was interested in Newcastle - Johannes?

A cheque? What is that, some sort of prommisory note? I'm sure they can pay funds same day or god forbid those poor players have their salary delayed by a couple of days in the clearing system. Perhaps we should pay them by cheque.

Just got in. Have I missed much today? Quick summary anyone?

We have been going bust all day, now there may be a lifeline as Fry/Pinnacle still chewing the cud according solent!!! All saints fans knackered due to high stress!!

Another thread ruined by this pathetic trolling idiot nineteen canteen.

Give it a rest, please. His opinion is as valid as anyone's and he's hardly getting in the way of any real news, is he?

Do you not read the stick his posts receive? "Childish remarks" shows considerable restraint under the circumstances... Regardless as to whether you agree with him or not.
