Other than MLT & Theo on Sky, have any other former players said anything supportive in the last month?

Like him or not the only other really influential ex Saint who has been pretty supportive in encouraging Saints to be bought out has been Harry Redknapp... his comments were 'triffic'. :)

Yes Beattie and Delap, have both said that it's very sad to see Saints predicament and Beattie also said that the best period of his career was his time at Saints. Which to my knowledge, is more than Bridge has said.

I know a lot of people slate him, but I do think Beatts has a genuine fondness for Saints.

Beatts is much less of a ***t than people think, always been very friendly when I've been with him, bought me drinks etc, and seems interested in you (even if you're not female). Bridgey is a **** though.

Nice touch wasnt it? He didnt have to say that, couldve said The Emirates but didnt. He also said: 'because I grew up there'.

Nice.

Aw, bless.:D He does seem a genuinely nice kid.

Like said Beatts said his time here was the best time of his life. When he scored for Everton against us he refused to celebrate, and correct me if I'm wrong has not played against us since. I always thought that when he got "injured" in training for Sheff Utd at the end of 08, it was more of a refusal (even if not openly) to play aginst us when they could have sent us down. Yeah he could be a bit ****y at times, but usually was happy to chat and be polite

Was also the most successful part of his career here so I should hope so! ;-)

Come on, Rupert, you must accept your share of the responsibility. Bagpuss couldn't fix what was already breaking down.

Agreed. He's a thoroughly good bloke. If only the club had money and could have matched the wages he was offered by Everton....but hey it made so much sense to be a prudent PLC owned club.....NOT.

Theo is something of an exception to the typical breed of footballer - he has intelligence. I would bet anyone you will NEVER see him on the front page of a paper having thumped a bouncer or journo after falling out of a nightclub drunk. In fact I just can't see him drinking at all.

I seem to recall him trying to piggy back Marcus Bent after that sickening goal. Still, all in all, a top player for us and still a Saint at heart!

Wait till he is old enough to go into a pub, there'll be no stopping him :D

As for Beatts, glad he is back in The Prem scoring goals. Having watched Stoke a few times on teh tellybox, I have to say the fans there really have gone to great lengths to make BT, Rory, Higgy, Camara and Fuller at home by singing stupendously loud and SLOW versions of Oh When The Saints Go Marching In. It is too much of a coincidence that BT scores for fun in teams in Red and White Stripes, but was pretty naff in the blue shirts of Everton ;).

His goal and celebration alone,(anybody got the link to bring a ray of sunshine in these troubled times) against those fishy fiddlers at SMS should be enough to give him legend status amongst us fans. Also his continued charity work in the Southampton area is to be applauded.

Now where did all that money go :(

Better clarify that I meant, the transfer fee money ... not bracketing BT in the same slimy mould as MPs :p

I would have BT back in a second. Great player and great attitude. If only we could have the same spirit and ambition in the current team.

Theo will be a future genius. Defo one to watch.
