Master Bates Posted 15 May, 2009 Posted 15 May, 2009 (edited) either announcement of the preferred bid (believed to be the Pinnacle/MLT) or the consortium will be axed from talks to buy the club (Mark Fry's words) Fry also goes on to say that "it's imminent". When asked if imminent meant a deal would be struck today he added "We will know one way or another if we're proceeding with it" Buy todays Echo, today. Also, Ajax want Nathan Dyer plus other clubs have enquired about Davis, Lallana, McGoldrick and Surman. Master Bates Posted 15 May, 2009 Author Posted 15 May, 2009 Fry also goes on to say that "it's imminent". miserableoldgit Posted 15 May, 2009 Posted 15 May, 2009 Ajax want Nathan Dyer :-) Well it certainly wouldn`t be "Flash"! (Cue other detergent based replies!)
Ludwig Posted 15 May, 2009 Posted 15 May, 2009 Well... it is Friday! Not sure I'll get much revision done if I'm pressing F5 all day.
WealdSaint Posted 15 May, 2009 Posted 15 May, 2009 Here we go again.............don't you love Fridays
CHAPEL END CHARLIE Posted 15 May, 2009 Posted 15 May, 2009 Ajax want Nathan Dyer :-) The Saints terrible revenge on Dutch football - "they had it coming" claims disgruntled southerner .
ITKSaint Posted 15 May, 2009 Posted 15 May, 2009 Here we go again.............don't you love Fridays I used to prefer Saturdays!
Toadhall Saint Posted 15 May, 2009 Posted 15 May, 2009 Oh lord here we go again - I'm supposed to be bloody working!!
silversaint Posted 15 May, 2009 Posted 15 May, 2009 I honestly believe today, having had such a poor time this season and are pretty horrible post season so far I believe its got to turn round at some point. Its hammering down outside and I've got to go to work and check the forum every 5 minutes on my phone until something happens but as soon as I see the headline takeover complete on here all will be worthwhile! If we all believe you never know! COYR
Toadhall Saint Posted 15 May, 2009 Posted 15 May, 2009 Any links MB - Been on the Echo site but no real updates as far as Saints are concerned?
St.Patrik Posted 15 May, 2009 Posted 15 May, 2009 Oh lord here we go again - I'm supposed to be bloody working!! Same here - have ****eloads of work to do - now all I do is press F5 on this site....

Its hammering down outside and I've got to go to work and check the forum every 5 minutes on my phone until something happens but as soon as I see the headline takeover complete on here all will be worthwhile! If we all believe you never know! COYR Possibly announcement of the preferred bidder but I doubt it'll be complete yet, but who knows.
Master Bates Posted 15 May, 2009 Author Posted 15 May, 2009 Any links MB - Been on the Echo site but no real updates as far as Saints are concerned? Not yet, the Echo are being slow today for some reason.
Toadhall Saint Posted 15 May, 2009 Posted 15 May, 2009 Not yet, the Echo are being slow today for some reason. Conspiracy!!
egreog Posted 15 May, 2009 Posted 15 May, 2009 Its just another friday........nothing exciting will happen!
northam soul Posted 15 May, 2009 Posted 15 May, 2009 So i would assume they have been given an ultimatum then if your wording is correct MB. Either meeet the required amount today and you can be preferred bidder or forget it and The Jackson five will be free to proceed.
Master Bates Posted 15 May, 2009 Author Posted 15 May, 2009 So i would assume they have been given an ultimatum then if your wording is correct MB. Either meet the required amount today and you can be preferred bidder or forget it and The Jackson five will be free to proceed. In a nutshell yeah.
slickmick Posted 15 May, 2009 Posted 15 May, 2009 So i would assume they have been given an ultimatum then if your wording is correct MB. Either meeet the required amount today and you can be preferred bidder or forget it and The Jackson five will be free to proceed. Sounds like Pinnacle can't find the extra cash.
Foxstone Posted 15 May, 2009 Posted 15 May, 2009 Out with the old and IN with the new........... I bloody hope so anyway ! It could be a long day where concentrating at work will be hard to do !
Give it to Ron Posted 15 May, 2009 Posted 15 May, 2009 So i would assume they have been given an ultimatum then if your wording is correct MB. Either meeet the required amount today and you can be preferred bidder or forget it and The Jackson five will be free to proceed. Or its not enough and we go into liquidation or when the Jackson money falters and the samew happens.
Master Bates Posted 15 May, 2009 Author Posted 15 May, 2009 THE leading contender to buy Saints has to deliver on their deal today or face being axed from negotiations. http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/saints/news/4370956.Ultimatum_issued_to_potential_Saints_buyers/
SKATE_HATE Posted 15 May, 2009 Posted 15 May, 2009 Sounds like Pinnacle can't find the extra cash. Why do people keep saying that? Why just pay whats been asked if theres a chance of paying less?
hamster Posted 15 May, 2009 Posted 15 May, 2009 Also, Ajax want Nathan Dyer ... Never in a month of Fridays MB, never in a month of Fridays. He does not possess the required vim and vigiour for that level.
slickmick Posted 15 May, 2009 Posted 15 May, 2009 If what your saying is true MB, then it sounds like Mark Fry is telling them to put up or shut up. Considering the rumoured alternative, then this seems very worrying.
doggface Posted 15 May, 2009 Posted 15 May, 2009 I expected an announcement yesterday afternoon, if nothing today I would be concerened. The announcment I expected was on preffered bidders with injection of funds to keep operating which is now being aluded to in the echo. Conclusion of the deal will not happen today.
landford.saint Posted 15 May, 2009 Posted 15 May, 2009 Never in a month of Fridays MB, never in a month of Fridays. He does not possess the required vim and vigiour for that level. Neither is he BOLD enough or have the PERSILverance.
SaintRichmond Posted 15 May, 2009 Posted 15 May, 2009 So i would assume they have been given an ultimatum then if your wording is correct MB. Either meeet the required amount today and you can be preferred bidder or forget it and The Jackson five will be free to proceed. God help us if it is Jackson As I said, Marc Jackson + Stuart Green = Welcome back Chairman Lowe
ypbl Posted 15 May, 2009 Posted 15 May, 2009 Neither is he BOLD enough or have the PERSILverance. Too much of a fairy?
thorpie the sinner Posted 15 May, 2009 Posted 15 May, 2009 I particularly liked the line 'there is a chance that they won't be able to deliver...' mmmmmmmm
slickmick Posted 15 May, 2009 Posted 15 May, 2009 God help us if it is Jackson As I said, Marc Jackson + Stuart Green = Welcome back Chairman Lowe Not a chance, even they are not that stupid.
hamster Posted 15 May, 2009 Posted 15 May, 2009 Neither is he BOLD enough or have the PERSILverance. add to that the fact that he is soiled goods and out of condition(er)
landford.saint Posted 15 May, 2009 Posted 15 May, 2009 Too much of a fairy? And he wont Daz zle them with his brilliance.
stuey Posted 15 May, 2009 Posted 15 May, 2009 Neither is he BOLD enough or have the PERSILverance. Also, he has no AERIAL ability...... I'm here all week......
Danny R Posted 15 May, 2009 Posted 15 May, 2009 Neither is he BOLD enough or have the PERSILverance. I don't know. I think Dyer might do well in the dutch league, where you need less of an ariel presence.
Saints foreva Posted 15 May, 2009 Posted 15 May, 2009 I have a feeling today will be yet another bad day for Saints fans.
skintsaint Posted 15 May, 2009 Posted 15 May, 2009 Ive gone past caring, we will get brought out but im not hoping for anything special and wouldnt surprise me to be run by ****tards again
SaintRichmond Posted 15 May, 2009 Posted 15 May, 2009 Many things just do not add up. One of which is the fact that MLT alluded to the fact that the "bidder" that he was supporting had "Loadsa Money" Suddenly, when push comes to shove, they now apparently are having trouble proving their Funds I think it Stinks, and that Jackson's Mob, including you know who, will get the nod
kpturner Posted 15 May, 2009 Posted 15 May, 2009 Suddenly, when push comes to shove, they now apparently are having trouble proving their FundsdI didn't see anything to suggest that was the case (although it could be). More likely that they cannot agree on the finer points of the proposal.
Block 5 Posted 15 May, 2009 Posted 15 May, 2009 So what happens if Pinnacle (if it is them) don't do what Fry wants today? Where does that leave us? Up the creek?
Saint Martini Posted 15 May, 2009 Posted 15 May, 2009 Ajax want Nathan Dyer :-) They don't even have a manager at the moment.
iansums Posted 15 May, 2009 Posted 15 May, 2009 Many things just do not add up. One of which is the fact that MLT alluded to the fact that the "bidder" that he was supporting had "Loadsa Money" Suddenly, when push comes to shove, they now apparently are having trouble proving their Funds I think it Stinks, and that Jackson's Mob, including you know who, will get the nod Even if they do have 'loadsamoney' they would not neccessarily make a massive bid. Remember the lower the amount they can pay to secure the purchase of the club then the more they have to invest. There is bound to be brinkmanship on both sides.
