Marsdinho Posted 12 May, 2009 Posted 12 May, 2009 Hello, Im having an issue whereby the Content Browser wont open. You can normally open it by going to: windows \ content Browser or CTRL + 4 Ive tried boith ways and neither are opening up. Any ideas ?!?!?!

Content Browser is only available in AutoCAD Architecture and AutoCAD MEP.

exit2 Posted 12 May, 2009 Posted 12 May, 2009 I have had this issue too! I used this fix from Autodesk this problem occurs when the ContentBrowserLibrary.cbl files becomes corrupt. To test this theory, try renaming your ContentBrowserLibrary.cbl files to ContentBrowserLibrary.old and then launch a session of Content Browser. In this scenario, a new ContentBrowserLibrary.cbl files will be automatically created and Content Browser should once again be functional. Unless you modified the location of the cbl file during the installation of AutoCAD Architecture, this file will be located in the following location: C:\My Documents\Autodesk\My Content Browser Library\ACD-A 2009\ Please note that the newly created ContentBrowserLibrary.cbl file will not include each of the stock catalogs. You can either manually add them to the new library or if you have another system on which Content Browser is functioning and that uses the same install path for AutoCAD Architecture, you can copy the ContentBrowserLibrary.cbl from that system.

saint_stevo Posted 12 May, 2009 Posted 12 May, 2009 so do i, but we have had more problems with 2009 than any other release! actually CAD in its entirety does my head in, they always manage to break the sodding plotter. Or the hatchings dont print out......
Dimond Geezer Posted 13 May, 2009 Posted 13 May, 2009 Roll on the 2010 release eh.... Already available, hopefully they've managed to sort out the problems you get when hatching, doubt it though hatching has been crap since R12. :mad:
